Excellent no-nonsense product
This has resurrected our rather blunt serrated bread knife very quickly and easily. I'm very pleased with it. It's nicely balanced and easy to hold as well.

Garbage
I brought this for the staff kitchen at work. The ugly but functional styling, and the price point both imply this is a proffesional tool. Run away! It is not.I could feel it starting to loose it's bite within days. It's next to useless now a few years down the line, despite only being used infrequently. My cheap no-brand highstreet one at home is still going strong after probably 10 years of almost daily use. In fact I can honestly say that the old fasiond steel I brought as a student for £1 about 20 years ago is still at least as functional.It's so bad that I struggle to believe it's genuine DMT. If it is then my opinoin of the brand is headed for rock bottom.Certainly not woth the asking price, I wouldn't pay half that.

Before and after shows impressive increase in sharpness
The media could not be loaded. I used this to put an edge on a rather blunt knife and recorded a before and after video. Given that I only gave it a few strokes on either edge, the difference is amazing (I think).I apologise for the awful wallpaper in the video: work in progress.

In a different league to "ordinary" sharpeners
Quite honestly, I have never come across a knife sharpener even half as good as this. With minimal effort, my kitchen knives are sharper than they've ever been. It's easy and sturdy to hold, with a nice wide guard to stop accidents and with just a couple of strokes each side of your knife, it's razor sharp and ready to cut or carve. Yes, it's expensive, but if you're a professional or spend lots of time cooking, you will not regret getting yourself one of these. Outstanding.
