I’ve bought these twice now. Someone stole my first pair out of my shed along with a couple of other items. So far this is the only item stolen that I readily replaced. These are heavy but manageable even with small hands. They cut through metal zip ties like it’s nothing. And are cheap enough to buy a second without having to worry much about the expenditure and without actually feeling cheaply made.

These are much larger than expected, forget operating them with one hand. I can only open them 3/4's way with one hand. That said at 12 inches long you can get quite a bit of leverage on them. Worth the money if you know what you are getting before you purchase.

Ideal for trimming sheet metal in close quarters

These cutters do what they are intended for. They do cut through metal, however, it's a bit hard and fatigues your hand when the metal is a bit thick. These would be perfect for very thin sheets/pieces of metal. Thicker metals are harder just because of how short the cutters are and the way your hand holds them. If the length of the cutters were longer, you would get a lot more leverage to cut, making the process easier. Overall, I gave these cutters 3 stars because they do what they are meant to do, however, it's not all that practical for a variety of thicknesses. Stick to very thin metals with these cutters.

I have the big brother to these straight pattern tin snips. I've used them for some time and they work well. If this smaller version holds up as well, it'll be great.The blades are very nicely finished, and cut like butter.The dipped handles are soft enough to cushion my hands from shocks, but hard enough to be tough. The handles on my big snips are like new despite the use they've gotten.The pivot has a lock nut, so you can set them up to cut perfectly, and tighten them up as they wear over time.I have big hands, and there's no way to get four fingers in those small finger bows. I initially wasn't sure how well that would work, but a two in and two out grip works well (see the picture.)These came with oiled blades to prevent rust during shipping.The smaller size fits in a pocket or tool pouch without much risk of falling out, unlike big snips, so they're perfect for roof work.Made in China like just about everything else these days, but they did a great job.

Great value for the money! Works as it should and even with limited strength in my hands I was able to use them easily.
