Davita InstantCheck Mobile ECG

Well generally my experience with the unit had been good for the 12 months I owned it. It was easy to use and provided good detailed information and provided re-assurance I hadn't a serious problem with my heart and was only suffering occasional arrhythmia attacks. The "but" is unfortunately 7 days after the 12 month warranty ran out the LCD screen has decided to go blank on me. It switches on and makes all the appropriate noises and seems to work ok but I can't see a thing on the screen which somewhat defeats the object. This makes it difficult to award a reasonable rating for the product but I think the deciding factor is the price....for upwards of £350 I would have expected the quality to better and certainly the LCD screen to be more reliable. After 12 months and one week I now have a unit that I can return to Taiwan and get repaired, all at my own cost, or try and find a replacement....perhaps from a more "local" source.

I'm very pleased with my InstantCheck. It is easy to handle and gives very good print-outs from the computer. I have heart arrhytmia and it's very helpful to me to see if it's atrial fibrillation or something worse when I feel my heart jumping around.
