Punches well above its weight
I am honestly shocked at the quality of this keyboard out of the box. I bought to replace my K1, and was hugely impressed at how good this sounds out of the box, especially for $125. The stock keycaps are excellent and comfortable if you like OEM profile, although the SA shape may be something different if you aren't used to using it (I prefer XDA profile, so they are a little tall for my liking but still great build quality).Configuring with VIA worked right out of the box, no issues. Just make sure you're using a DATA cable if not using the stock cable (NOT a charging one). The Gateron Brown Pro switches are fine for what they are -- basically linear switches with a minuscule little bump (which I actually don't mind). They are decently lubed, definitely a couple are a little scratchy but that is really getting nitpicky. They are perfectly fine for an out of the box experience. Stabilizers are probably the weakest part of the build, and that's saying something considering they're about a 80% percent solution. Spacebar and shift keys sound perfect, really impressive job on these. Backspace is the problem child and doesn't sound great, although some of the rattle I get on it I think is from the switches so I can't put all of the blame on the manufacturing process.Gamer RGB is fine, I don't really care about the rainbow stuff. However, really great improvement was in the accuracy of the white color in the firmware from my K1 model -- side by side the older version is much more red which always bothered the heck out of me.Case is A++, the padding completely eliminates any ping or echoing. No disassembly or fiddling with cutting the foam in the packaging to fill it up.I would absolutely recommend this keyboard to anyone just digging into mechanical keyboards with a budget. This thing is incredible for the price.

Great Premium Entry-Level Customizable Keyboard
This is a great keyboard that feels premium and has an excellent typing feel. I have Brown Gateron MX style switchs that feel tactile and smooth, while not being too loud. The OSA profile keys are of a premium feel, but I will have to get use to them, as I am used to low-profile keys and a different key pattern. The entire keyboard has some nice weight to it with the aluminum frame parts, maybe a little to heavy to travel around with in a backpack though (not a mobile weight). While using the bluetooth typing, I did not notice any delay/lag in transmission or any connection issues. The south facing RGB lights look nice and has some good presets. You can download the JSON file and use VIA to fully customize the board and include MACROS. There are only two minor complaints I have: I wish the keys were shine-through backlit, as I am not the greatest touch typer in the dark. The second issue is that the battery charge light (Green when finished charging) will not turn off, even when full charged in "wired" mode, if you USB supplys power when the computer turns off. Some computers allow you to disable the USB "Always On" feature, but unfortunately my MOBO does not. Overall a premium entry-level keyboard with a feel of longevity, especially since the switchs are hot-swappable. Good buy!

Very impressed!
I got this for my wife as she is a technical writer. When her old keyboard bit the dust a few month ago I let her use one of our gaming keyboards. It was nice but more suited for response than typing. The quality of this keyboard is truly amazing. It took a little for her to get use to the keycaps but after only a few days she doesn't want to change them. The typing experience with the browns from both our perspectives is wonderful.Deeper sounding than expected. I like deep sounding keyboards and I wasn't sure this would deliver with the plastic housing but was pleasantly surprised. The sound dampening works well and there is less ping than in some of their more expensive boards (before minor mods of course).Over all price performance on this keyboard is astounding. I would use the cable for gaming but being able to connect Bluetooth to multiple laptops is a game changer and there is no typing latency and switching between systems is seamless. This is our second Keychron board and I just picked up another one today. Very impressed with all offering levels from this company!

Extremely sturdy, good value
This Keychron K8 Pro + Gateron Pro Brown is a good buy for me.What I liked about it:* Sturdy build quality, nice key cap feel, Mac support.* Feel good typing on this keyboard. What has been reported by some others about the space bar being too noisy - there is some truth to that. But this issue can be fixed by adding foam/poron slices underneath the space bar key’s hollow bottom side.I was able to make the usual loud keys (backspace, return, carts lock, shift, and space bar) quieter by applying O rings to the key cap stem. The improvement is audibly perceivable. Next I replaced the already quiet brown switches under the backspace & return key with a couple of those silent black siwitches. Now the backspace and return keys are satisfyingly quieter. So this keyboard is an above average and dependable workhorse straight out of the box, and is easily improved by adding O-rings under every key cap, plus foam inserts (anything to break up the sound waves bouncing back when the space key is depressed very quickly with force) would effectively dampen the nose level to acceptable levels.Without these mods, the K8 pro was already a great asset. With he simple additions, work became more enjoyable!
