Crystal Bowls Chakra Chants

I've done a lot of searching for Chakral tone recordings and have been a bit disappointed in most because the tones would be lost in synthesized arrangements or the tones would be too loud and the whole meditation process would be broken. This album is exceptionally beautiful and perfectly balanced. The chanting is clear enough to be heard without distracting from the clear pure tones of the crystal bowls. The arrangement is such that you get equal time for both in a very fluid mesmerizing way. Perfect for meditation and Chakra healing. I absolutely love it. Thank you Jonathan Goldman for a transcending musical creation.

I own all versions of Chakra Chants that Goldman has produced and pre-ordered this one with a lot of anticipation to experience how this version would be different than the others.Each version seems to have a subtle energy running through it that guides the senses towards a different focus.For example, my experience with Chakra Chants 2 is that it is more intense in the areas of grounding and sense of purpose while Chakra Chants 1 has a vibration to it that is more intense in the upper centers that focus on compassion and spiritual or cosmic connection.This version (crystal bowls) is yet another wonderful and different experience for me. I've used it for meditation and personal healing therapy several times since I received it.There is something about the composition of this one that works to induce an alternate state of consciousness very quickly. The prominent energies with this one in my opinion seem to be more intense in the 6th and 7th chakras with a highlight on "having clarity".The journey begins at the root chakra and finishes at the crown.Each track is roughly 10 minutes long. This is a bit longer than I'm used to for working on each energy center. His previous works have them at about 8 minutes.The sound from the bowls is so pristine and clear and crisp, I actually don't recall ever hearing anything like it!The specially tuned bowls in this CD ring for me in a way that is just magical. The vibration coming from sound of them playing is just so marvelously "clean", really the best way I can describe it is that there is a lot of the color white in it.The chants become whispers that get lost in the ringing of the bowls. That was an unexpected and pleasant surprise to me. I was expecting the sounds of the chanting to be more dominant but I hear them more passively. All of the sounds meld together very well.I have other singing bowl CDs (seven metal bowls) and they will ring a vibration that can get pretty close to sounding like feedback out of a microphone and it just hits a place that sounds uncomfortable and grating. The crystal bowls used for this are nothing like that!It is very entrancing. It is not a CD that I would recommend for ambient background music because of the pace of it. As a sleep aid I think it would be great.I do feel that the healing that comes from working with this version is just as thorough and effective as the others. It is nice to have the different versions for change of pace.

After receiving a prompt shipment of this CD in excellent condition, I proceeded to play it while working around the apartment and then upon laying down to do breathing exericises. I truly enjoyed it casually, as well as for meditation and relaxation. The structured progression is soothing, yet animated enough to allow one to slow down without being boring or monotonous.The recording quality is excellent, and when I relax while listening to this recording I experience all the subtle nuances of the performance, stilmulating without being overpowering and invasive. Although I have numerous type recordings, I do not have anything quite like this, so it is a very welcome addition to my collection. The crystal bowls are very resonant and enjoyable addition to the overall soothing sounds created on this highly recommended CD.I think anyone looking for soothing, relaxing harmonies for their environment, whether incidental background vibes or as a tool for meditation, breathing, sleep, etc., will find this a worthy investment of time and money. I am completely satisfied and know I will play this often. Most of the other reviews go into detailed information about the recording, and I must agree with the most positive of these posted reviews.Hope this personal evaluation helps all seeking something special and enjoyable in this genre.Namaste.

I'm just starting to become involved in chakra work, and was familiar with Jonathan Goldman's previous works. Based on the reviews listed here (and my liking of Goldman's releases), I decided to give this particular CD/download a try, and was not disappointed.The problem I'd had with other chakra-oriented recordings was their harshness. They didn't resonate with me; in fact, I found many of them grating and unpleasant -- those with vocals were even worse. But Goldman's works beautifully combine the purity of crystal sounds and Tibetan singing bowls with gentle chorals to make this a relaxing, stress-relieving delight. No matter what chakra you are focused on, or even if you're focused simply on relaxation, Goldman has the right tonality for you with this wonderful CD.Unlike some of the other reviewers I read here, I don't use this as a "sleep" tool -- I don't find that it knocks me out. I have several meditation CDs, but this one is unique. The quartz crystal bowl sounds combined with the human voice and other sounds is a mix unlike anything I've heard. My wife and I relax at home and turn on the CD player. I like it better with headphones, my wife likes it better played with speakers, but both are good. We close our eyes and go into another mental dimension, a very nice one. After all 7 tracks are played, we are very refreshed and relaxed. We alternate between this CD and Tibetan sound healing, and we are seeing energetic shifts in a positive way in many areas of our lives. I am truly amazed by it. I feel healthier and more energetic, so it is working on several levels. Try it - you will benefit from it!

I love this recording. The chanting and crystal bowls produce exquisite sounds which do not fail to balance and uplift me. It also seems to refresh the atmosphere of the room in which the CD is played. It must have been a challenge to record the purity of such sounds, however, the result is so successful, it is like listening live when played through quality speakers. I have given this product 5 stars because it leaves nothing wanting.

I wanted to balanced my chakras all 7 though there are 12 now been discoveredI have played 4 times so far it’s avout 70 minutes duration, 10 per chakras. I felt relaxed and energised after. I have his humming book so reading through to understand the value of sound vibration healing.An investment in self help, the sounds are pleasant easy to listen too.Enjoy

I have used many of Jonathan Goldman's Cd's to enhance my experience of mind expansion over the last few years to great effect. I usually listen to then on my i pod to great effect. This album was different, I tried the ipod but did not feel I was getting the required results. I then played the Cd on my surround sound system and everything fell into place. You need the unenclosed atmosphere of the sound hitting your body to trigger the mind expansion experience.Loved it. Would recommend it.Michael Hinch

This is my second purchase of this CD as I wore the first one out! I listen to this when I'm too tired to meditate but want to go deeply into my being. It helps me relax and harmonise the energy in my body.
