I was reluctant to purchase a brand of lens I was less familiar with. After extensive research I decided to try Viltrox and was not disappointed.Initially, the lens had issues which were resolved with the responsive company and the thoughtful seller. I experienced excellent service from both Viltrox and Maggie, the seller. I was given a replacement lens (though the warranty was 2-weeks expired). I thought that was remarkable!Now I am using the new lens to create YouTube content with the depth I was looking for. I will purchase more Viltrox products and look for this seller to make those purchases.I am very pleased and even surprised with the resolution. The lens and the service exceeded my expectations!

Fits perfectly onto Canon M50II. Give me the photos that I required. Clear, sharp focus subject with background bokeh. Excellent choice of lens. Highly recommended. Wish the len's filter was included in the package.

Lens worked great at first, using it for a studio lighting portrait course at college. Last time tried to use it however, the aperture ring is very stiff and focus was off, even with manual focusing.Tried to contact seller twice with no response. Sad because this a perfect lens length on my Canon M50 for portraits using flash or natural light.Too late to return, it was a christmas gift but didn't use until February.

This lens offers good video using a Canon m50. There’s an available firmware update that corrects some auto focus hunting. The outline update was a pain to use but worth it. Quality after the update matches the quality of my Sigma lens. This is a great value. I purchased the 23 mm as well.

The lens just wouldn't stop focusing in and out and the icon on the canon screen was not helpful at all. Was ready to send this back, but thanks to previous reviewers, I was able to download the new firmware and this lens is a champ. Sharp sharp where you want, dreamy blur everywhere else. Perfection for so cheap! Chef's kiss.

Bought this as my first prime lens for my Canon M50 MkII and for this price, it’s really hard to say no.First off, the packaging Viltrox provides is very sturdy and almost premium-like, providing not only the lens itself, but also a lens hood and a carrying case (both are also great quality).The lens itself feels premium with a metallic and weighty feel to it with a smooth focus and aperture ring (even though the auto focus is also very good).Photos I provided should give you a decent idea as to what this lens can do. Great all around but specifically excels at low light and object focused portraits. If you’re thinking about getting this lens, I’d say do it!
