Simple Useful Wood Magnetic Knife Strip 10 inch - Magnetic Knife Holder Rack Bar Block

This product is as advertised fit very well in small spaces and works wonderful.

The magnets are a series of small magnets not a continues strip which makes exact placement of knivesdifficult. Otherwise it's a nice piece for the money.

Def not as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be.. is it some fancy burled/curly hard wood? No but it doesn't need to be... although the biggest problem is the mounting screw notches are a bit shallow and not being a hardwood idk if I'd trust mounting it like that.. far better off using some good double sided tape or drilling your own holes which there's just enough space on the ends of the magnet strip to do so. The wood itself looks decent and mine was well finished. The magnets are pretty good although I wouldn't go sticking a big cleaver or machete on it.. I use it to hold a series of 2"-5" wood carving knives i made and it works just fine.. again, with a slight mod to the mounting it works absolutely fine especially for about 11$ and it does look better than the stainless steel options out there

I was surprised at the flimsy construction, but it works. Had to install with own nails as the screws didn't work in my setting. I realized it was manufactured in Russia when I recycled the box. I'll avoid Simple Useful Things from now on.

I needed a place to hang my knives. I use them every day, hand wash them, dry them, and then set them next to the sink, but I was running out of knife space after purchasing a chef’s knife. I searched Amazon for a magnetic strip, but most were ugly, industrial metal things. I came across this one and thought it was really attractive at a great price!I thought it was easy to install. I mounted mine on the outside of a door of one of my kitchen cupboards because I have no wall space in my kitchen. I drilled two holes through the door and used bolts (with washers) that have the same tapered head as the screws provided. After the bolts were in place, I slide the Knife Strip into place, then tightened the washers.The magnets do not seem to be super strong but I feel confident that they do the job. I had read a review where someone mentioned twisting the knives when you pull them off so that you’re not sliding them across the wood, and that seems to work great.Works perfectly, looks nice, and puts my knives in a place where I can easily access them while cooking in my kitchen!(Photo uploaded but it appears to be sideways! Ugh!)

I ordered the darker model and it is VERY light colored. The finish is nice, but I've had to sand it so that I can stain it the color that I need. The magnet is strong...works well. Nice to have a shorter version like this to fit on the side of an upper cabinet. I would have given it a higher rating if I'd not had to do extra work to make it the darker stain.

Used double stick tape instead of screws. Holds my knives in place like a champ.

Strong magnetic hold, easy install. Small countertop space in my kitchen, no place for wooden knife block. This strip saves a lot of space, very convenient and looks good.
