YESWELDER TIG Welding Foot Pedal Amp Control Pedal, Compatible with TIG-200P ACDC TIG-205P YWT-200DC and other machines with 5-pin torch control

This foot pedal is worth the money. It's metal construction and feels very robust. Works amazingly and an absolute MUST HAVE for tig welding. Extremely pleased with the purchase and my only regret is not buying it sooner.

I have been tig welding for 16 years and have seen some crappy pedals in that time. This pedal from YESWELDER is the exception. Upon opening the box, this pedal has some weight to it and just feels solid, has a nice look, and most importantly, it grips the floor and doesn't just slide around. I have been pretty impressed with this company over the years. have bought many other products from them and will continue to do so.

As others mentioned, they do not properly seat the strain relief on the cable connectors so that may wear out over time. My first pedal did not work but YesWelder support promptly shipped me a new one. As a beginner welder I have found this to be a very useful addition to my kit. The analog control gives me a much better feel for the weld process and gives some wiggle room to experiment with the right amperage setting. It also makes holding the torch easier since I don't have to hold down the button.

UPDATE: Yeswelder customer support reached out to me completely unsolicited and gave me a full refund and let me keep the pedal. Which is awesome! They also requested model information to help identity and fix any problems with their product. They appear to genuinely be trying to make a good product through iteration/troubleshooting. I have one of their MIG welders and it's been solid. Original: It allows me to hold the torch in a more comfortable manner without my finger on the button, so I still appreciate it. However it offers no variable control over the amps. It's on or off, that's it.

The product itself seems to be of decent quality, and not as cheaply made as some I have seen, but I purchased this pedal specifically for the YesWelder 205P, and to my TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT the pedal completely cuts off your arc at 30 amps. Doesn't matter whether you have it set at 160A or at 50A. The pedal turns off at 30 amps no matter what. So, what that means is the pedal (and therefore welder) is completely and utterly USELESS WELDING AT OR UNDER 30 AMPS, or for when you trail your arc out very subtley when welding on thinner materials, PEDAL USELESS!! I have reached out to YesWelder on their website by using customer support, and it has been days and still have yet to hear anything back. I saw nothing of this in any reviews, or in any of the research I did on this welder and pedal prior to purchasing it and wondered if it was just a bad luck of the draw, but since I have not heard anything back from them, I will assume that they cannot/choose not to address this. I am going to be returning the pedal and welder due to this, as this was purchased to be a welder primarily for thin materials, and if the pedal is useless at or less than 30 amps, that knocks out 80% of what I bought this welder for. Stay away, if you need precise foot control, stay away from this brand. It works for simple things, but in no way will it work for precision amperage control for thinner materials.

It has stopped controlling the amps on my 205p tig welder and only works as an on off switch.

This pedal is not worth the money. There is a wide range where the switch is being engaged that causes the arc to flicker between the highest and lowest settings. You need to pass through this range when starting and finishing the weld. If you’re working on thin material this will instantly blow it out. If you’re working on thicker material you can stomp through it quickly and it’s ok, but then when trying to taper off at the end of a weld it gets unstable and can ruin it. It’s extremely cheaply built but that’s to be expected.

Been using foot pedal for a while and the only major problem i come in contact with is the connections they are ery cheaplymade with a very light screwnut break very easily machine side is ok but pedal side needs to be mor robust as your usually moving it around with your foot unless your sitting and welding otherwise it works great PS fix the small issue as i have to order another pedal as i dont see just buying the cable another issue just sell the cable for foot pedal

Had a issue with the cable. Initiated contact and within 30 min Support called me (a actual Rep. Not a message) and started adressing the problem. Within a few days replacement was here. They sould coach some others about real effective costumer support. A1
