Unlike traditional cough syrups, this herbal supplement needs to be refrigerated after opening. It did come safety sealed and with an expiration date far in the future (almost 2 years). Ingredients are great/non GMO-most are organic, low added sugar. Is listed as vegan as well as gluten, diary, and soy free. No added flavors. Tastes like elderberry which takes getting use to but not bad. Comes in a dark glass bottle to protect ingredients, not clear plastic which is also a plus. Seemed to help lessen coughing. 24 serving sizes in the 4 oz bottle.

The Gaia Herbs Cough Syrup came at a great time with my allergy symptoms in full force now. This cough syrup came in a great tasting black Elderberry with honey and it's so soothing going down my throat. I definitely noticed that I cough less now I highly recommend using Gaia Herbs Cough Syrups for all my allergy needs. Thank you so much!

This works really well for coughs and surprisingly even seems to help runny noses. We love the kids version too! Some of the ingredients (honey & lemon) serve as natural preservatives in addition to having health benefits and a wonderful taste. That said, these two ingredients in particular are also acidic - so I’m so glad this company chose to spend the extra money to put this product in glass (acidic products in plastic leach chemicals). That says a lot about the company’s care IMO.Keep in mind that this product needs to be refrigerated after opening and says it will only guarantees freshness for around 6 months in the fridge. It’s a small size bottle though, so I believe we will use it by then (especially with kids in the house bringing home all kinds of crud on the reggie). I will happily accept that trade off for no toxic poison in the product. Overall, this is a wonderful product from a great brand.

Didn’t help with symptoms or cough.

Everything feels better except my throat. So thought let's try this as normal cough syrup is too expensive and Dr's are just too expensive. So my first dose I immediately notice how well it worked! It cleared up phlegm and the honey is taking care of the soreness beautifully. I only took 1 teaspoon but really impressed now I must state I was at the end of being sick when it got here. So I can't speak for how well it would have done when I had the nasty cough. Just want to be honest as I try to help people find quality products!

I like the natural ingredients. We recently went through Covid in our house, and this was helpful with the sore throat and occasional cough we had. The eucalyptus flavor is a bit strong, but it feels like it really helps. It has to be refrigerated after opening. Hopefully I won’t forget it’s in the fridge next time I need it!

I live in a dry climate and every now and then allergies and dust combine for a little dry cough. Just a small bit of this syrup and... no cough! It has a very concentrated taste, it tastes good with a very strong fruity flavor, probably the elderberry and honey. They recommend one teaspoon three times a day, about half a teaspoon once did the trick for me. I am thrilled that it is all natural, so much better than not knowing what's in it.
