For the price, it is definitely a great deal when it comes included with every accessory you would need to start your classes. My wife got crazy to learn these suddenly and so after searching for all the options, I ended with this. I didn't want to spend on very expensive options as I am sure this craze of hers will end soon.This is a budget combo and not fair to compare this with expensive drums which cost 5-10 times more than this. Keeping that in mind, my 2 cents below :Pros:- Sound is good enough on comparing to the online teaching videos where the tutor plays expensive ones. I have zero knowledge about these drums and just my thoughts based on what I could get while seeing my wife learning- Excellent build quality for the metal & overall product - Loved the color finish- It comes with everything you would need to start drum training. Has a bunch of accessories included in the set- Comes with a very classy carrying bag that fits the drum perfectly - Few (3) color options are available to choose from - Reasonably priced for the quality Cons:- None that I see for this price & the quality Overall it is a great product considering the price. Recommended. Worth trying for beginners and later upgrading to expensive ones when you are well proficient in playing it.

I never write reviews, but felt compelled to write one for this still tongue drum. After a lot of investigation, and knowing that what I actually wanted was a hand pan but couldn't afford it, I chose to buy this drum because it had the tone I was looking for. Now, after having for a few weeks and playing it for about an hour each day, I can say that it is an amazing instrument. It's sturdy and the musicality is great. Also, it is a nice touch that the steel tongue drum comes with a great carry-on bag.If you are looking for a starter steel tongue drum to learn or to meditate, this could be it.

It's very beautiful and came with a sturdy carrying case and a ton of awesome accessories! In the video, you can see that they came with little mallets and finger ones, too. I really loved how the regular mallets sounded with it. It also was very quick to arrive and came packaged very well! I'd rather it higher that 5 stars if I could!!

I got this on Cyber Monday for $50 less than usual. I have wanted a handpan for years. The best one's cost thousands of dollars, and a lower end one is at least 500 bucks or more. I don't have those funds right now, but I do have a passion to learn to play and a need to destress with music. Tongue drums seemed pretty cool too. It's a bit easier to get one of those at a lower cost. This seemed like an interesting hybrid drum so I went for it. I was so super pleased with this purchase. The sound is clear, and the notes are on point. I'm a musician, so I'm a stickler for quality and sound. You can get really loud tones and tons of vibrations and overtones with the mallets. I'm still learning how to get good tones with my fingers and hands. I think that will take more practice. I've seen legit videos on YouTube of folks getting great sounds with their hands on this exact drum. There is one drone note in the middle, like there is for handpans. The remainder of the drum is very much like a tongue drum. There are 8 notes with what I like to call 8 bonus notes. These are basically an octave higher and are a bit more like overtone notes, but you can get most of them to sound out pretty clear as their own note if you work at it. That makes 16 notes-- two full octaves-- plus the drone note in the middle to play around with. My only complaint is the two highest overtone notes. They are a bit tinny in sound and it will take some practice to figure out the exact (and I mean exact) placement for the mallets (or your fingers) to get that note just right without it sounding like crap. On the plus side of those less than stellar notes, it adds a bit of an earthy, "tribal" type feel (not sure how else to put it). Sort of gives it an interesting quality. Otherwise, if you are on a budget, or you are wanting to know if these sorts of drums are for you, I would say give it a go. I'm not sure you are going to find a budget drum with this level of quality anywhere else. Some day that thousands of dollars drum will sit in my lap, but for now I'm vibing out with the BeatRise. Vibe on!

Have been wanting to try and Handpan (Hangdrum) for a long time, but the entry price is quite steep. I saw this HandPan/Tongue Drum at a great affordable entry price. Looked at some Demo's on YouTube and it sounded good so I took a chance. And I am very glad I did. It sounds better than the videos and is close enough to a Handpan sound to satisfy my ears for a price that is unbeatable. Easy to play and get lost in the moment. Playing with the hands is easy and is where you get the closest Handpan sound. You can also play with Mallets and you get more of a Tongue drum vibe. (two sounds for the price of one) I am having fun exploring the soundscapes possible with this lovely instrument. Not sure if this will satisfy my Handpan urge or inspire a bigger investment in the future. I am at least glad I found a way to start the experience without breaking the bank.

I ordered this for my grandson. He likes to bang on my wife's Wok and cries when we take it away. More importantly, I would like him to be musical and be interested in music as he develops. It is a gorgeous piece of work and makes beautiful sounds. Although I had hoped it sounded like a steel drum, which it does not, we are more than happy with the tone. I suggest using the sticks and not your hands if you want clear tones and value your fingers. I love the carrying bag as well.

Very pretty drum but arrived so out of tune. Double tongues are tricky, such that if they are not tuned well, the overtone notes collide and then they don’t cooperate with any other tongue, but instead collide with it. I think it’s time for me to upgrade to a brand with quality tuning. The box was so small that the sides of the drum stuck out on all 4 sides of the box, which looks to have bent the drum seam some. This one is unsaleable.

Der wahre Grund, warum man sich für diese Tonguedrum in Pan-Bauform interessiert ist doch, dass man sich eine "echte" Handpan nicht leisten möchte und hofft, hier für den schmalen Taler eine ähnliche Erfahrung zu erhalten. Gerade, wenn man sich neu für so ein Instrument interessiert.Für das was sie ist und kostet ist sie dann auch wirklich schön und liefert schöne, lang nachschwingende Klänge. Als Tongue Drum ist das Klangverhalten anders als bei einer 22“ Handpan.Es gibt von zwei russischen Herstellern (RAV, Quint Art) 22“ Modelle in diesem Tongue Drum Design, die sehr schön klingen. Meiner Ansicht nach sogar noch schöner als Handpans. Aber auch diese kosten ein Vielfaches.Von daher sollte man dieses Modell - welches es auch unter anderen Markennamen wie Fame und Moozica zu kaufen gibt - auch nicht damit vergleichen. Für die Kosten klingt sie wirklich schön und bleibt angenehm handlich.Es erfordert natürlich Übung, sie zu spielen. Manche Zungen reagieren lauter als andere. Das wird Konzeptbedingt so sein und an der Physik liegen, dass diverse Frequenzen einfach dynamischer aufschwingen, als andere. Dies dann im Spiel in den Griff zu bekommen ist sicher Übungssache, aber nicht gerade einfach. (Die Blaue kleine macht das übrigens nicht anders).Für den besten Klang den Sweetspot mit den mitgelieferten Gummi-Schlägeln zu treffen, kann ebenfalls durch Übung erreicht werden. Die kleinen Oktav-Zungen klingen dennoch nicht alle sauber, können aber schöne Oberschwingungen erzeugen, wenn man sie anspielt und die großen dabei leicht berührt. Ähnlich Flageolett auf einer Gitarre.Sanft gespielt klingt sie am schönsten.Das Spiel mit den Händen muss erstmal geübt werden. Es klingt nach einer gewissen Einarbeitung gut.Die kleinen, mitgelieferten Gummi-Aufsätze für die Finger sind nur wenig Hilfreich.Die DING auf der oberen D3 Zunge kann gut mit dem Daumen gespielt werden. Mit den Fingerspitzen der Mittelfinger klappt es nach einiger Übung mit den anderen Tönen. .Die Verarbeitung ist Makellos. Die mitgelieferte Tasche hochwertig und besitzt auch ein Fach für die Schlägel. Meine Tasche ging allerdings Kaputt. Der Anbieter hat mir aber eine Neue zugesandt. (Es kamen allerdings 8,20€ Zollgebühren oben drauf)Mein Versuch, die Tongue Drum mal mit Filz und Stoff-Bespannten Schlägeln zu spielen klingt meiner Meinung nach nicht so gut. Es dürfen schon die Gummikugeln oder eben Finger sein, um den optimalen Klang zu generieren.Alles in allem finde ich die BeatRise Tongue Drum für sich genommen ein schönes Instrument. Ich spiele sie gerne.Ich finde, dass diese Blaue noch etwas schöner ausschaut und habe auch den Einsruck, dass das Sustain und die Neigung zu Obertönen durch die Lackierung etwas anders, angenehmer ist, als bei dem glatten Modell. Das kann aber auch täuschen, da ich nicht vergleichen konnte.Der Preis schwankt stark. Ich habe deutlich unter 200 gegeben. Sie bietet viel Spielfreude. Ist zwar kein Ersatz für eine echte Handpan.Muss sie aber auch nicht sein.

Ich habe schon eine Tongue drum C Dur um Melodien zu spielen, wollte aber zusätzlich noch eine tongue drum, die ähnlich einer Handpan ist, da mir eine Handpan noch zu teuer ist. Also habe ich mich für dieses Schmuckstück entschieden. Der Klang ist toll, die Stimmung D Kurd genau das, was ich gesucht habe. Ich bin super zufrieden. Habe kurz überlegt, ob ich mir lieber die teurere Meinl kaufe, ich bin froh, dass ich diese genommen habe. Denn diese reicht für meine Bedürfnisse vollkommen aus. Klingt super, laut und leise, hat viel Power und ich bin einfach nur glücklich, für so eine tolle Handpanalternative, die bezahlbar ist. Nur zu empfehlen.
