- This is a Functional Battle Ready Flared Barbute Combat Helmet. A Barbute (termed a barbuta in Italian) is a visorless war helmet of 15th-century Italian design, often with distinctive "T" Sharped or "Y" shaped opening ofr the eyes and mouth.

- The Helmet has been constructed of 16 gauge steel. It's very solid and good for SCA and re-enactment.The helmet comes with leather liner and chin strap.It is full size and wearable.
- This barbutes features a low ridged crest forged into the top of the helmet's skull which served to strengthen the helmet without adding a significant amount of weight.
