May not survive the New Year... Carrot, Christmas tree, the house! Cat very happy and addicted to Carrot...
Purchased for the timeshare cat. He gets very high on the carrot, rolls around like a lunatic, the carrot is sopping wet. It's not something you want to pick up and he gets very, very possessive of his plush root vegetable. You really don't want to attempt to separate him whilst he's in full flow doing what he's doing with his toy. He's lovely and furry, but he has very sharp pointy bits and these are accentuated by the new drug "Carrot". Imagine the Tazmanian Devil in small deceptively cute feline form, that is the effect of the Carrot on the timeshare cat. He's a very small, slight cat.He then gets the munchies, wanders over to the bowl and just about removes the glaze from the porcelain.Next thing he spots the Christmas tree. We aren't sure what he actually sees but it's Parkour time! Ka- boing, he's up the curtains; on the dining table; he's Tarzan swinging on the Christmas decorations; playing the game where he's crossing the room not touching the floor. Thankfully, he can't get to the lampshade - it's an old Victorian property and just a bit too high for him - THANKFULLY!He's now bouncing off the walls and the tree is flattened, decorations and gingerbread stars everywhere, cat looking very pleased with himself strolls over to the sofa, claws it, wanders back to the carrot gives it another chew and then back to the sofa before curling up, sounding like a motorised fur cushion and sleeping it off for the next 5 hours. It's the 28th today and a few feathers have shed and there are a few bits of carrot fur on the carpet so I'm not sure how long this will survive. His Kong rat is still going but the carrot has certainly proved to be a hit. Whether or not the house can take anymore of the Parkour sessions I don't know, but at least it wasn't a wet day and we don't have a new pattern of little cat paw prints all over the walls...Be aware Catnip doesn't work on all cats and your results will vary...Update 24/02/2016 - the carrot is getting bald and bits of fur are starting to shed. It's pretty strong stuff as we have now acquired a second time share cat who has also fallen in love with the furry carrot. Number One timeshare cat is currently under house arrest due to a ferral lunatic cat - Janet - named after my slow-witted ex manager biting him at the base of the tail. We are looking forward to a Carrot and Cat Reunion soon... Number Two timeshare cat is a friend of Number One timeshare cat and I suspect is currently acting as his stand in and possibly reporting back - he hates Janet as well. This could become a soap opera - I will keep you updated...

Cats love it
My cats love this toy, especially with the catnip. However, my flooring is constantly getting covered in little bits of orange from the toy so it won't last very long, which is a shame.

Strong and washable
This was a replacement for the previous one which was ‘loved’ for a long time... ideal toy as it’s washable too!

My cats favourite toy.
The Kong Feather Top Carrot is the favourite toy of both my cats and I think it is the feathers that make the difference. I have some Kong cat nip mice and although they do get played with, they are not used nearly as much as the Kong carrot. The carrot gets carried, pounced on, attacked, bitten and thrown about. It comes with a little tube of cat nip and I used about a third inside the carrot. The only negative is that the carrot gets so much attacking that it does shed orange bits of fur onto the carpet, but for the enjoyment and exercise that the cats get, I would say this is a small consequence.I'd really recommend this product if your cats enjoy cat nip toys.

feathered carrot attraction
Bought two KONG toys---this one and a hedgehog. The latter was of no interest to my boys BUT this carrot was better received. The difference is clear-----THE FEATHERS!!. Although my boys have not gone 'as mad' as other reviewers cats, they have had a little play and I think they will go back to it.

Fantastic carrot toy! Cats LOVE it!
This carrot has been played with (by my 2 cats) on a daily basis for about a month now and still looks like new! The quality is fantastic, the velcro is so strong that the cats have no chance of opening it, and despite many rough tug of war games between my cats, the feathers are all still intact and it looks like it dif when it arrived! It comes with a tube of catnip, so will keep them going for AGES, so I can't recimmend this toy highly enough! I will definitely only be buying Kong toys from now on, because the quality is fr superior to any other cat toys I've bought (and I've bought loads! ;-) )
