Let’s face it, the world as it is today wasn’t designed for neurodivergent people! It can be incredibly hard to get through some situations that neurotypical people would consider “basic” or not a big deal. That’s because nothing in the framework of modern society was set up to make life a level playing field for neurodivergent people as it is for neurotypical people. This means that as a neurodivergent, you need tools to help you through the tough times as best as possible. One of the best ways to do this is by working within the framework of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, also known as DBT. DBT skills are very handy and helpful, but here’s the rub, it’s not often that they’re taught in a way that helps people who are neurodivergent. This is why this workbook has been written. Unlike other books out there, you’ll find this one very practical , and at no point will you be left scratching your head about what to do or how to be better at dealing with life’s stressors. It is written in simple English , and everything you’ll learn is clearly and concisely stated . You’ll be able to pick up these skills easily, working at your own pace. Here the most relevant themes covered: What is neurodivergence? A brief overview to help you understand better Are you neurodivergent? Self-evaluation test, positive sides, and success stories Dialectical Behavioral Therapy: the current gold standard of psychotherapy Strategies for stress Strategies for anger Strategies for anxiety Strategies for social anxiety Strategies for panic attacks Strategies for depression Strategies for intrusive thoughts Daily plan for emotional well-being This workbook isn’t written with the intent to change your personality at its core. It ’s meant to help you figure out your emotions and regulate them , so they don’t overwhelm you to a crippling point. The exercises here will help you learn healthy coping mechanisms for when you’re overwhelmed. They’ll help you get better at learning what you need, stating those needs clearly, and meeting them yourself when required. Ready to take control of your life? Grab your copy NOW! Great book with some useful strategies
Excellent strategies in simple to use scenarios, these are suited to the symptom that is causing you the most issues at the time. Easy to read language makes this an accessible and informative book. One suited to a younger age group would be welcomed for use with adolescents! Thank you

Brilliant workbook
I work for a talking therapy service as a therapist and I am now using this workbook with my clients who are neurodiverse and they all find it helpful and are able to make good use of the content. An excellent tool.

Very poorly written
Very poorly written and edited. No idea who wrote it, clearly no-one wanted to put their name to it. I couldn’t give the content much attention as I was so put off by the clumsy and imprecise use of language.

Who are the professionals with "Instant Relief"?
There are no details about the professionals behind this book comprising "Instant Relief" which sets alarm bells ringing. Those that say this book appears written by AI are right. The part talking about people using Autism for internet "clout" is harmful as it leads people to suspect all Autistic content creators that aren't stereotypical as clout chasers... They aren't. It talks about stigmatising being a bad thing, but talks about Autistic "symptoms" which hint to it being an illness rather than a condition of difference. The description of Autism seems stereotypical and out of date. There's also the list of brilliant people in there which might be inspiring or off-putting depending on your opinion. The exercises in the book might be useful, but it's very hard to overcome the other issues around the book. Maybe find books written by named professionals whose background you can research instead.

AN IMPORTANT BOOK
This is a book that I think is very important for all those people who are suffering from neurodivergence. The book starts with an in-depth explanation of what neurodivergence is, it provides a useful test to understand if you are suffering from this problem and it gives a whole series of useful strategies to overcome the main problems deriving from this disorder. All in just over 100 pages explained in a very simple and clear way.

To a Better Me
I was instructed to purchase a DBT workbook by my Psychiatrist, and this is the one I chose. I have just started on it, but it seems pretty straight forward. I know it will be hard work, but I intend to better myself.

The Toolbox Everyone Should Have
This self-help book gets right to the point without a lot of anecdotes and long explanations. It's not meant to exhaustively describe the science and psychology of DBT or ADHD or emotional regulation in detail. If you have already done a lot of reading about DBT, ADHD, or other topics covered in the book, it serves as an amazing summary. If you're just getting started, I'd say it's a great launchpad. Either way, this workbook is a great set of tools -- some of which you'll become adept at in your own, others you may need someone to walk you through at first (perhaps with a good therapist who has been trained in DBT techniques). (By the way, if you are a therapist, I would highly recommend that you suggest this book to your clients.) The first 25% of the book contains succinct explanations with a lot of subheadings, bullet points and white space, a very ADHD friendly presentation. Another feature of the book that made it both affordable and respects the reader is that it's black and white. I see black and white as an advantage because a workbook is meant to be written in and marked up -- the black and white contents allow the reader to decide what text they want to highlight with their own colors. (Some "ADHD-friendly" books that are full of colors, and while I appreciate the attempt to utilize a method meant to stimulate dopamine production, for me, too much color is annoying and distracting, especially since I prefer to choose on my own what parts I want to highlight with my own colors.) 75% of the book contains brief descriptions of some of the most common emotions all people experience: anger, anxiety, depression, panic, and stress. Each of these emotions has its own chapter with helpful actions, described step by step, followed by room to write down your own plan. Neurodivergent Friendly DBT Workbook is one of the most practical workbooks I have ever come across on any subject. Thank you, Instant Relief!
