They have a bit of a strong smell wen you first take them out of the box, but after a day or so it fades away (it helps if you pull out the whole tape out of the case and let it sit). Don't be put off by it. They are very well made, and work great. I have been looking for measuring tape longer than 150cm and these are double that length, making them perfect. The colors are also as rich as depicted in the presentation photos.

These tape measures are the nicest I’ve owned. I appreciate the tape width and readability, that the tape feels fairly thick (definitely compared to my not-wide and not-thick old one) and flexible, and that they are longer than the tape measures I’m used to owning. I love the feel of the covers and it feels kind of gentle to press the center to rewind the tape measure.I love having 3: for the junk drawer where it’s handy, for my purse for random needs while shopping, and for my sewing kit. And the price was great.Currently, I’d totally buy again, but for your consideration: they’re still new to me and don’t get used super frequently, so I can’t speak to their longevity, though given my use they’ll probably last. Also, they came individually boxed and seemed like they could be nice gifts for the right person.The one con was that I couldn’t pick my colors, but I’m generally satisfied with the colors I received.

These are so so cute and the perfect size to keep in my purse, card and crafting bags. The measuring tape itself is good quality but the retrieval springs and case are a little cheap. One of the three pack one retract. The other two work great. Worth buying but test them all so you don’t miss the return window!

I never knew these existed till my grandfather showed me the one he bought. Great price and very handy for my projects

Update: I wouldn't purchase these, especially if you have kids that will try to pull them out entirely. My son broke one and now I only have 1 left. I opened it up to see what was holding the measuring tape inside and why it kept breaking so easily, it's the tiniest, flimsiest little piece of plastic that keeps breaking off and causing the tape to come out. It's a super poor design cause any amount of stress on that tiny piece of plastic and it just snaps. There has to be something a little sturdier on the market.Unfortunately one of them fell apart on the first use. The other two are working well though. Just wish they all worked.
