The coolest thing I never knew I needed...
FTOYIN Volcano Shaped 15W Night Light with Wireless Charger is the coolest thing I never knew I needed. The FTOYIN Volcano Shaped 15W Night Light with Wireless Charger is supposed to look like a volcano with it's orange light peeking out through the black cut outs of it's hills and valleys. These hills and valleys are protected by a clear acrylic cover that does not come off, but allows you to see the night light. The LED night light has three settings - steady/100%, steady/50% and "breathing", in which the light cycles from 100% to 50% and back again. This setting is amazingly soothing to watch and a great way to help little ones go to sleep. The FTOYIN Volcano Shaped 15W Night Light with Wireless Charger charged both our our various cell phones without challenge at about the same speed that our normal cables do. Please note that it has to be plugged in to work, (the instructions are confusing on that point), and although it comes with a standard USB charging cable, it does not come with a wall plug.Cons:-It is rather large. It measures approximately 6" in diameter and 2" high. I am sure this is because the item is a night light, in addition to a charger, but when unboxing I was suprised by how large it is.- The power button is a very sensitive touch button. I am forever accidently changing the setting because I touched the button while handling or moving.- The top and sides are acrylic. This is nice in the fact it makes the charger lightweight and see-thru, but if you are not careful, you can scratch it.- Doesn't come with a wall plug.Over, I really like the FTOYIN Volcano Shaped 15W Night Light with Wireless Charger. The "breathing" light feature is one of the coolest things I saw this year. Removing one star for the cons, I gave this item 4 stars and highly recommend it.

This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine
LOVE this lamp/charger! I usually have an uncluttered desk – I like to keep it minimal – and this adds a little character to my desk. It's small enough that it's not in the way, and the lamp is great for mood lighting; it's also not too bright. The charging is great and fast and so far, I haven't had any issues with it. Overall, great lamp, great charger, great aesthetic.

Looks cool with or without your phone charging on top of it.
I really like the look of this charger because it doesn't look like a charger. That's one reason I got it -- I like the nightlight feature and that when it's not being used, it's just a cool decorative piece. The orange glow it gives off is sort of like candle light (especially on the dim setting), though without any flicker. If you turn off the nightlight aspect, it still has a very faint white-light glow that turns blue when charging. So that's cool, too, if you don't want the orange glow (which comes in three settings: full, which is just a warmer/brighter nightlight, but still a nightlight; dim, which is what I prefer; and "breathing" which alternates from the full to the dim and back to full, fading up and down like slow, meditative breathing). The "volcano" description is sort of apt -- but it's not one "volcano;" the design is several mounds, more like a topographical map, striped with glowing lava. It looks neat, but the "volcano" element of the design is somewhat abstract. That said, I like it, and even if we didn't need to charge phones at night, it still makes a cool night light. From the functional side of things, this wireless charger delivered for us. Set up was easy. Took it out of the box (which was nice box with graphics, not plain -- so it would look cool for gifting), and plugged it in. NOTE: It comes with a USB C cable, but not a plug. That's becoming more common to reduce waste and expense, so we plugged the cable into one of our existing phone charger plugs and it worked fine. We may pick up a permanent plug for it because we still take our phone chargers with us sometimes, but if you have an extra plug sitting around or want to pick one up (especially if gifting), just know that you will need it.On cases: All of our phones have cases and it charged them just fine through those (fast charging comparable to our existing fast chargers). My case has a pop-socket on the back and so I was worried I'd have to take my case off to charge my phone, but with a little trial and error, I figured out how to get my phone to charge while still in the case with the popsocket. That was a nice surprise since everything in the description says it wouldn't charge through popsockets and the like. Some reviews have mentioned the power button is tough to operate. It's a touch sensor, so there's no "button" to feel for (which is tricky in the dark). Looking at it from above, like a clock, if you think of the power cable being at "12," then the power sensor is at "3." And it is more on the undercurve on the side, so I can see how it can be trickier to operate, but once I tried it a few times and got used to it, it didn't bother me. All of the indicated light functions and modes worked for me as described in the instructions.Everything matched the description and it delivered on what it promised to do. And it looks pretty awesome doing it!

Fast phone charging!
This lamp is also a charging station. It has 2 light settings. Must be turned on to charge phone. The power button is hard to see and find though.

Photos do this charger a lot of justice
I got this because I thought it was made of glass or resin, I thought it would look more artistic and feel more solid than it does. It is made of thick tinted plastic and its hollow inside. The hills look plastic, too. I would say the fourth picture in the ad, the one that says “touch switch,” is most accurate of what the device actually looks like. Pay attention to the measurements they have listed because I thought it would be smaller than what I received. The charge works fine but it takes a long time to charge my iphone. It took a couple of hours to get my phone fully charged from 50%. The nightlight worked fine for me but there is a very specific spot you need to touch for it to work. When you do manage to hit that spot, it still doesn’t work all the time. I recommend sliding your finger across that area for a more consistent on/off. I really wish it was just touchable anywhere on the bottom to adjust the light. Also, I find it important to note that the light is not bright, medium, low – it is breathing (bright to dim) and then low and then bright. It’s not smooth when it breathes, it jerks between the different levels of brightness. All in all, I found this charger to be cheap.

Not impressed
I thought this looked like a neat charger and nightlight. Wrong. The charger is made of plastic and doesn't really look like the pictures. It isn't easy to even get the light on. I set my phone on it at 60% and it took over an hour to charge. I compared it with my Samsung fast charger and at 60% it took 26 minutes to fully charge. This is not a fast charger. The concept is great, this attempt is not.
