Bonsai Cut Paste/Bonsai Pruning Compound 160g×2 Set (Gray + Brown)

I am not too fond of this product even though you always see everyone using it. Its consistency is very hard and it is not very sticky so applying it to freshly cut branches without allowing any foreign microbes to find a home under the cut paste where it can attack your tree. I don't use this paste anymore. On azaleasand other deciduos I use Top-Jin mostly if I see the need to I will use Elmer's wood glue, a this layer is easy to apply and works well.Don't be too anxious, many species frequently used for bonsai do not need the cut paste and each situation is different on very sappy pines a thin layer of wood glue saves a tablespoon of sap where a carefully placed button of this gets pushed off in an hour.

it is hard to spread. and it sticks to hands have to use gloves. if it rains right after you apply not the best. if the tree trunk is slightly wet can't apply either. price is expensive.

Fantastic putty style bonsai cut paste to apply wherever you have intermediate to large brand cuts when pruning your trees. The trick is to lick or mositen your fingers just a bit before you apply it to your freshly cut branch to make it adhere to the wood rather than remain on the tips of your fingers. BTW this is dark grey in colour and blends in nicely with most branches.

As a bonsai enthusiast for over 35 years, this is the best. Cuts on trees will heal more quickly. Average time is 3-5 months for limbs up to 3/4 inch when cut with a concave cutter. Scars are minimal and look natural.

Probably the best out there. A little bit goes a long ways. Use wet fingers to avoid sticking.
