OK flight sim
This is an OK flight game for the PS2. I don't like it as good as the Ace Combat series by Namco. It is a little different but not my favorite.

A realistic flight sim thats a breath of fresh air on consols.
We on the PS2 were really spoiled by the Ace Combat series, epic stories with fast arcade action that other flight games just couldn't match. On the other hand, PC got super realistic combat games that while being realistic, lacked the flair that arcade flight sims had (no giant tank walkers or flying aircraft carriers). Lethal Skies tries to take the creative mission design of Ace Combat, with giant super weapons and flying through canyons, while also focusing on realism such as the plane physics and realistic weapon loads. For the most part Lethal Skies succeeds. If you are expecting this game to be pick up and play arcade fun like Ace Combat, best to look else were, as Lethal Skies actually requires that you know how to fly a plane. Also make sure that you play this game from the cockpit view as playing a realistic flight game from 3rd person is next to imposable. Lethal Skies flight model feels pretty realistic, I never got the plane to go into a spin, but the game does have a good stall characteristic and your plains handling changes depending on what speed you are going. The damage in Lethal Skies is also nicely done, damage to your wings, engines, fuel tank, and weapons systems is all tracked separately and will have different effects on your plane depending on where you get hit (wing damage results in loss of mobility, fuel can leak, engines provide less power, and damage to weapons systems effects your ability to lock on). You get blown up with one, maybe two missiles most the time, but it is still nice to see how the damage effects your plane the occasional time a missile doesn't make a direct hit. The main place Lethal Skies doesn't go for realism is in its missile ranges. Even the games long range missiles don't go much more then a couple miles. Your missile load however is kept realistic, no 50+ missiles here, but it does allowing you to choose each individual missile and where it gets mounted on your plane. Really cool when you watch the replays and actually see your missiles getting launched off their respective points on your plane. The level and mission variety is also pretty nice. The game takes place in a post-global warming future so you will see levels such as a flooded New York, Desert Paris, and a Los Angeles rebuilt atop a man made floating island. There are also a few levels where you have to fly through tunnels and canyons, which if you thought were hard in Ace Combat, are even harder here as Lethal Skies tries to follow the laws of physics. Still though, tunnel flying does add verity and having to battle giant walkers and large 4 bladed helicopters among other super weapons keeps the game from getting boring like most realistic flight sims where you must defend the base or escort the bombers over and over for 30 missions. The main place I feel Lethal Skies falls flat as story. As I have stated, the missions have plenty of variety, which is still more important in my book, but the story pretty much comes down to mission briefings giving by a very boring voice before each mission. Your wingmen don't have a whole lot of dialog ether but are all ridiculously over the top. Still though, other then some random girl in the intro you never see one person the whole game, just voices while flying your plane which are probably just the people who programed the game doing improv.I must say though, when people complain "modern games are too easy" they have probably never played Lethal Skies. Easy Difficulty is essentially Hard Difficulty, Medium Difficulty means next to imposable difficulty, and Hard Difficulty is you wont get past the training level difficulty. If you like your games hard as nails then this game sure wont disappoint in that aspect, lord help us if there are any unlockable difficulties after hard.Overall, Lethal Skies Elite Pilot: Team SW is a very good game but probably could have been helped from a higher budget. With only 5 voice actors, and no cut scenes other then mission briefings with videos of planes and tanks, it Lethal Skies does feel a little bare bones at times. Still, if you are looking for an action packed flight sim on console that isn't as arcade as Ace Combat, then pick up a copy of Lethal Skies, you'll probably like it.I'd recommend one with the manual though, you'll need it.

Lethal Skies.........
This game is realistic and goes beyond your imagination, and the grapics are almost better than Ace Combat 4. One thing that i love most about this game is the planes. You get to fly a F-22 Raptor, What more can you want! You can even fly the plane without doing anything really special in Solo mode, well you have to pass a amount of levels until you actully get your hands on that beautiful plane... Anyways to the point.. This game will meet any real person whos into flying military planes. Sound- Excellent 5/5 Graphics- 5/5 Realistic- 5/5 Overall great game- 5/5 Total - 20/20 = 100% This game is the game of the year when it comes to airforce jets. The AI ( Artifical Intellegence) is also unbelievable. The control shakes in your hand when you make sudden movements to make you feel how poerful G-Force can be(Gravitational Force). Well im off to play some more, remember to get this game!

not bad.
Acutally this game wasnt so bad, frustrating at times, but still not bad. Just get AC4 and spare yourself a headache. And uh, excuse me Mr. 11-year old, but most modern air-to-air weapons today are capable of destroying an airplane in one shot, as reflected in this game. Pilots rely on skill to evade these weapons, skills you quite obviously dont have.
