Uses other than logs.
I purchased this tool to try and maneuver many large rocks for landscaping on my place. It worked like a charm. I am so glad I have it.No more tugging and straining my back. I am a 77 year old woman and this tool is very helpful. My old tractor has its limitations and this device helps me place the really large rocks just how I want them.

Does the job well
This is the kind of tool you may use only once, but when you need it there is nothing else that will work. I had a very large tree come down in my yard and once I cut it up I needed to move it around my yard. I bought this tool and it worked perfectly. This is well made, sturdy and works exactly as it should and the price is very reasonable.

Cheap and effective enough
The media could not be loaded. I got the long cant hook to move some logs left after having two dead trees felled two years back.figured we could use them to tier our yard and fight erosion. we'll have to backfill quite a bit. but our half acre backyard has a lot of trees, a lot of leaves in fall. it makes an inch or two of soil at the end of the season, bottom of the slope..This hook worked pretty well on our old rotted logs. before I knew what one of these was, I dislocated my left shoulder trying to pull a log with a ratchet strap looped around it 😂 it worked with my right shoulder, but that one had become badly bruised. This was in budget for the silly project. It could work better. not really adjustable for smaller diameter logs < 1 ft. 6" diameter. and the tab on the main shaft could be longer for better grip, but it'll work. Heavy, good leverage. time consuming!and you need to watch a vid to learn how to pivot logs to turn 'em (requires another log/block/brick).Wouldn't recommend for a pro - go get aluminum. but for the price, it'll do just fine. doesnt fall apart or anything. There! Now you dont have to pay to have logs hauled away after getting a tree felled. You could even, if you want, roll em out to your front yard over a few weekends, and get them milled into lumber by a mobile miller. I would have done that if I knew about such things (and this tool), but fighting erosion is a noble cause, too.

Must have
If you have a sawmill and mill logs this is a must have!! It feels almost magical when you can roll and flip a giant log with ease!

Used to help remove stumps
Not a typical use, but this thing works great grabbing a large root section and heaving it out of mother earth! I cut sections with a reciprocating saw, pruning blade, and used this to lift out the pieces. Worked great.

Stihl quality without the price.
Tried to buy a stihl peavey and found this. $100 less and does the job. I put my own hook on off of an old wood handle one I had broke.
