I have been using my bathroom scale to weigh packages for shipping (step on scale with package, step on scale without, subtract the difference) but I had a heavier package I didn't want to do the scale dance with. So I bought this shipping scale for same day delivery and I gotta say, it worked pretty great! I was easily able to figure out how this scale worked without looking at the directions. It's very light weight and easy to move around. The read out display feels empty and like cheap plastic but durable enough to last if you're not tossing it around. The pressure plate is plastic (I wish it was a sturdier material) but feels durable enough. On to the important stuff! I weighed myself since it says it can go up to 440lbs. It was about 1 pound less than what my bathroom scale says I weigh. So when I weighed my package and it said 25.53lbs I rounded up to 26lbs to print my shipping label in case it was reading inaccurately. When I got to UPS I asked them to weigh my package so I could tell how accurate my new shipping scale was. They said 25.5lbs on the dot. That means my new scale was 0.03lbs off! Perfect!! Couldn't ask for much better accuracy than that especially for the price! It also let's you calibrate it when you need to as well! This also means my bathroom scale is saying I'm fatter than I actually am...

It is great! I'm glad I bought it. The screen is long enough I can put a much larger item and still see the screen. So far so good. I would recommend it.

This scale is nice and easy to use. My only complaint is that it defaults to kg every time you use it. We didn't know this initially and, mailing a heavy package, we entered the wrong weight because of the kg default. Now we know and set it to pounds every time we turn it on. Other than that, it's a great scale. The high range it will weigh is very helpful. It is not heavy or large so easy to put out of the way when not in use. It also looks nice. We plug it in so i can't say how long batteries last in it. If you don't mind changing kg to pounds (if that's what you need) than this scale is great! It functions as it should. I do recommend.

Excellent, easy to use and precise

Pros: -I really like the size of the scale and the display is easy to use/read. -I like that it handles large amounts of weight. Cons: -I don't like that the cords are not really long enough. To keep the scale on the floor, you can't put the display on a counter or mounted at counter height and lifting heavy boxes to the counter isn't really practical. The coiled cord does stretch far enough but it is so coiled that when there is no box on the scale it starts to pull it up off the floor. The power cord is not very long either-both need to be about 2 feet longer for best use. -The scale reads different weights when on battery vs plugged in. Makes me question it's accuracy all together. -The scale doesn't stabilize well and the weights bounce around. Absolutely could not be used to weight anything living that moves around even when trying to be still. (Like I wouldn't use it if I was shipping live fish or something like that) -The controller doesn't hold "last used" memory for settings so every time I turn it on I have to set it to the settings I want-first world problem, I know, but in business time is money and when you are trying to box up and weigh multiple packages in a day having to do this each time I turn it on is annoying and time consuming. Overall, when plugged in it gives a reasonable weight range that is acceptable for our use but if you need accuracy or exact weights I would pick a different unit. When it goes out, I won't be buying this model/brand again. I would have returned it if I didn't miss the return window so until it breaks, I am stuck with it's small annoyances. 3 stars because it gets close on weight, the plate is nice and large to hold larger boxes, and because I couldn't do 2.5 stars.
