Good Product Well constructed - be prepared to replace the toss the hose; its garbage
It's a oil catch can. It's hard to say I "love it." I don't want to sleep with it. But so far I'm pleased. it works as advertised; I guess it's been installed for about a week or so, and it does it's job. The only thing that I added was a bit of aluminum scratchy pads in an attempt to keep the oil from getting sucked into the outlet; and minimize the internal filter from getting plugged.I've got a unique situation as where I needed to capture the goo that was clogging up the PCV system in an attempt to isolate where the goo was coming from. Of course the only place I could mount it was on the opposite side of the car so none of the tubing would connect; which forced me to fab my own out of some 1/2 copper tubing I had kicking around. (and no the red hoses are not rubber heater hose, their silicon heater hose.)Anyway.1. Build quality is quite good especially for the price2. Fit and finish very nice all of the pieces fit nicely together3. The hose sent with is garbage, I tried to use it, and it melted once the car got up to temp. Granted, the piping does run right above the exhaust manifolds so it does get a bit toasty. All in all Quite please. Not 5 starts because I don't want to sleep with it; and the hose provided is crap!Recommendationsprovide silicone based tubing. I'd spend an extra 10 bucks silicone hose - something that works.also putting some mesh in the bowl to capture the shmoo in an attempt to keep the shmoo down away from the vent filter.

My engine was failing but i wanted to see if this catch can did better then my expensive air oil seperator
I was having excessive blowby in my subaru. My engine was failing but i wanted to see if this catch can did better then my expensive air oil seperator. It caught a lot of nasty stuff in a couple days. I would have given this 5 stars but like others have said.. the supplied hoses need to be thrown in the trash, get you some quality hoses at the parts store.

Open the package OUTSIDE, hose everything out, and air it out to dry for a few days
I strongly recommend that you open the package OUTSIDE, hose everything out, and air it out to dry for a few days. There are a lot of reviews that think Amazon sent them a used product because it reeks of oil. This is likely a misunderstanding -- that's just what metal factories in the 3rd world smell like (cutting fluid)The aluminum is soft and scratches VERY easily. Be very careful when threading things in.One of the holes was threaded slightly incorrectly so the fitting wouldn't go in all the way by hand. Solved that with a wrench. The dipstick is pointless. I wish it was sealed with an o-ring.My primary concern is that the baffle has visible metal shavings. See attached pic - I will be filing these off.

100% would recommend this catch can!
I have been shopping around for a catch can for my e36 m3 for a while and I am glad I found this one. Mishimoto is a great company but I'm not gonna spend over 120$ for a little catch can and there are other companies like ECS and TRM that make catch cans and they are all very exspensive as well. This can was 50$ and it is very very impressive. The machining is precise and the finish is perfect. The can is easy to mount and easy to empty. The dip stick makes it super easy to judge when it's time to empty the can. The can has a baffle system inside to catch the oil better and it's not just an empty can like the eBay ones so it actually separates the oil from the air. If you are thinking about buying this catch can.. DO IT.

Well designed and manufactured
If you've done your research, you know exactly what a good PCV catch can can/can't do. This will not magically boost your HP, MPG or do anything else to make your car run as well as when it came from the factory. There are a ton of designs and price ranges out there for this type of product; this being just one of them. The quality of everything (except the hose) is very good. Everything is made of machined aluminum and is very sturdy. The only things you're on the hook for are a bracket, a better quality hose (which you can buy per foot from an auto parts store) and the best location/installation for the unit. I've added an additional screen made from some aluminum window screen in order to have another area gasses can condense on then drip down. Does this guarantee 100% better air coming through the PCV; no but neither do the more expensive versions. So if this works just 50% better than the stock setup, that's that much less junk ending up in your intake. Enjoy the photos from 2014 Santa Fe and 2013 Sonata.

Great OCC but hose should be replaced.
ย The hose sucks and should be replaced with another one. Otherwise great OCC for the price. I did an installation video and review video on youtube: SeanS54.

Cannot be beat for the price
Very well made catch can. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this item. It is thick billet aluminum. Although not prefect, the tapping left burs inside the can itself that QC obviously missed. But for the price I'll debur it myself. Catch cans aren't rocket science and they shouldn't cost $350 like some people charge.I read a few reviews that people though their can was used because of the smell. I agree the smell is VERY strong. But they're not used. That's crappy tooling oil. Most likely the manufacturer is using crap oil for tooling. Maybe even used motor oil. I wouldn't be surprised at all. But the unit itself is new.The ability to take this thing all the way down is nice. You can pull the can off to empty it as well as take out the double baffles to clean them or add more baffling. I will be adding steel wool or copper to catch more condensate.I ordered 2 of these cans, for 2 different cars. Like others have suggested the hose that comes with it is garbage. Just toss it and get the Goodyear lines suggested by Amazon.

Cheap, but good quality.
Good quality for the price, added a small piece of stainless steel scuff pad for better filtration to the gases going back to the intake. The level checker makes it easto to quickly check for any oil.
