Shave Cream | Fragrance, and Gluten Free | For Sensitive Skin | 6 Ounce

This is the best shaving cream product I've ever used overall. Please don't alter the formula in any way. First the PROS: it doesn't take a lot to fully cover your face; this cream stays on and stays moist while you shave so you don't have to touch-up with more cream as you go along; I experience less nicks, cuts and shave burns using this product;; the skin feels normal afterwards; no rash and the seborrheic dermatitis symptoms I normally experience in my beard have been decreased thus far; the caveat to the last point is that I started using this product in April which is when I have less of these symptoms relative to the winter. The CONS: the product does not smell good--it actually smells a little on the bad side but it is very tolerable considering it works well (the last thing I want is for them to add a perfume which will cause irritation). It smells like corn flakes or something along those lines but only stronger. The other con is that there is very little product in each container; as mentioned before not that much product is needed to get a good shave; considering the price of this product they should be able to include more cream in a larger container as I don't think they are that hard pressed for cash that they need to sell way more of these things to keep it going.. In conclusion, I definitely recommend this product but the company should include at least 50% more product. Please don't change the formula for this and provide more than 50% more product (ideally 100% more) so we don't feel like we are getting ripped off each time a bottle runs out.

It’s not fancy. It’s is not like the newest fancy shaving cream and gels. But this is better for sensitive skin. No added scent at all - great for sensitive skin. But the natural smell of the ingredients is a little off putting when you use it. Just shave and rinse and the smell goes away. I use with Gillette’s sensitive razors and follow with La Roche Pose’s cicoblast balm as after shave. My neck skin has never been better.

Maybe it should be 5 stars. But the "fragrance" is on the very mild side of being somewhat annoying. This does not lather as more traditional shaving creams that include fillers to give you that "lathery" look without doing much for your skin. This is more like a traditional soap used in shaving cream. This is the 3rd item from Vanicream that I can highly recommend. As always, spot check with your skin to check for any reactions. EWG also gives there products their highest rating of "1" No, I am not paid. I simply tried the products. I use other products such as from the Japanese 3-step skin care routine. And include Korean skin care products. I am happy to see that someone in America - Vanicream - is or has caught up. I tried other Western products - you know the names. I can not recommend them. Some so-called skin-care products have ingredients that help while also having ingredients that do the opposite. Some may work for others, but not for me. That is where the EWG website comes in when rating products for skin care. Vanicream is among the best rated. Vanicream works and my skin is better for it. Recommended. Recommended.

This product is amazing. My skin is extremely sensitive to chemicals in shave cream such as oils, scents of any kind, etc. I have tried every sensitive skin product on the market without much success. One reason is that sensitive skin products, while not having "scents," always have "masking scents." Masking scents are just as bad for sensitive skin. Manufacturers put in masking scents because morons (like many of the people who gave this product scathing reviews) cant tolerate odors that affect their delicate sensibilities for a few minutes- even if it will prevent skin rashes, etc. For the record, this product clearly states that it has no scents or masking scents in its description. It does smell earthy, but I would rather tolerate this mild odor than suffer days of skin irritation. Second, it gives a great shave. You just need to rinse the blades more frequently (get over it ). Lastly, if this amazing product does not help your skin irritation, go and spend a bit more on a quality razor instead of taking your valuable time to write scathing reviews.

This shaving cream is a great option that is gluten and fragrance free. It is creamy and moisturizing, but doesn't clog my razor. It has a slight smell, but it's pleasant. It has not irritated my skin or given me a rash. This a good option for people with sensitive skin.

the shaving cream is nice, but it leaves a residue on your face after you rinse it off. i have to wash my face afterward to get it off.

Worst shaving cream I’ve ever used. I had been using the smoothest shaving cream ever (Cremo; and I’ve tried aaaaall the popular brands for comparison over the years), but went back to making all my own toiletries from real ingredients. I wanted more lather and glide than the Castile/olive oil blend provided, so I ordered this. Somehow, it was worse than the super plain homemade stuff. It gummed up my razor immediately and pulled the hair/skin. I noticed a bit of razor burn the next day. The next time I shaved, I decided to do an experiment and do one leg with this stuff and the other leg with the homemade stuff. The homemade one really was better; no razor burn on that side. I almost marked this 5 stars for the sensitive skin category, but how can it be good for sensitive skin if it leaves you with razor burn? So I gave it a 3 on that since it does have non-toxic ingredients. It does have a smell, but it’s not good or bad and it’s quite subtle. As for sheerness, I don’t understand why that matters for a shaving cream so I left it blank. Lastly, it’s way overpriced, especially considering its terrible quality. This was roughly as effective as shaving with only water. I plan to try what another reviewer suggested and just use their lather-y bar soap.

Have been trying to find a shaving product that does not leave a burning sensation, or excessive dryness for years. This is great. You don't need much to get a very good shave, no scrapping of skin needed. Would recommend shavers combine with a single safety blade or double blade razor for best results. Will buy again once the current tube is done.

My husband and I both use this. It leaves our skin soft and smooth. No harsh fragrance.
