No white cast!!
So I’m not really a big review writer for anything. But I MUST say that I LOVE THIS SUNSCREEN!!! *insert tears of joy here* Recently, I’ve become a big proponent of sunscreen, specifically mineral sunscreen. As a darker skinned black woman, the chance of me experiencing sunburn is low (I never have), but I’ve seen the effects of the sun with hyperpigmentation on my skin. My previous line of sunscreen had been discontinued and I needed a new mineral sunscreen to try. My sister had recommended it to me in terms of the lack of a white cast, and that’s what drew me to it. I liked the amount I was receiving in relation to the price so I decided to give it a try and so far so good!! I must say that I am loving the easy glide of this sunscreen! The lack of a white cast (especially when I rub it in)! And just how well it went with my other products! I have oily, acne-prone skin and adding layers of products on my skin can be challenging, but this product works really well with my benzoyl peroxide and Cerave mix much better than my last sunscreen. I can’t say much about the protection yet since it’s only been a few days, and the smell is nothing to die for (I actually smell nothing), but if you’re looking for a mineral sunscreen that has a decent spf, and goes on without a trace, check this one out!

Amazing SPF
So last year, out of no where I developed ezcema on my face and some parts of my body. So weird bc I've never had any problems with my skin. Anyhow, my skin was pretty bad when that happened. I would get some flare ups that wouldn't even let me sleep. Well my dermatologist recommended this brand and gave a tiny sample and I loved it. My skin immediately responded to it. So when I used it last winter I was afraid that this summer my skin would be bad again bc of the sun so I got this cream and while in Mexico used it and jeez it was hot over there and not a skin problem at all. I love love love this brand. Would never use regular SPF ever again.

Have had great results with this sunscree.
My Dermatologist recommended this. I am a senior, fair skinned & spent too much time in the sun when I was younger - did not use sunscreen. The last few years any exposure to sun resulted in red skin on forehead & nose. I told my Dermatologist that I wear sun visors & he said wear hats, he has seen too many women with scalp cancer that wear sun visors. Since this sunscreen is more expensive than a lot, I only use it on my face. It is not greasy & goes on smooth. Good results, worth the money.

A little runny, but still good
It's my understanding that this product is the replacement for the old Vanicream SPF 60 -- apparently the new rule is that nobody's allowed to market any SPF above 50.This new version is runnier than the original -- it has a consistency about like the Neutrogena Sensitive Skin sunscreen. It takes a little longer to rub in than the old version did, and feels a little bit greasy if you put on a lot.I'm just thrilled to find a sunscreen that doesn't make me smell like either bug spray or a pina colada.

My dermatologist recommended this cream to me because I have problems with all other creams that contain any kind of a solar protection factor. My eyes water up and bother me all day but I don't have this reaction with this cream. It also goes on smoothly leaving a really nice silky base on my face evening out the color of my skin (which I really love) on which to put a little foundation. I also use it on the backs'of my hands and my arms. I haven't had to use it on my legs yet because I usually wear long pants, but living in southern California where the sun always shines I intend to do so when I happen to wear shorts. I put vanicream on everyday straight out of the shower.

ok
Overall, it’s ok. It’s mildly hard to spread. And there is indeed a residue, even after showering, even the next day, though having a residue was only very-mildly bothersome. Maybe there has to be a residue for the product to stay on well during exercise, and/or to have such a strong SPF, 50+. On the other hand, it’s nice to be able to spread sunscreen easily, and to shower-off one’s sunscreen, and SPF 30 seems good enough, so a far better alternative is ‘Blue Lizard Sensitive Mineral Sunscreen – No Chemical Actives – SPF 30+ UVA/UVB Protection, 5 oz’. And that latter product stays on decently long during exercise, and is much cheaper per ounce. Both products seem smell-less, and seem to be healthy according to EWG dot org.

excellent product
Great stuff. A little goes a long way and it rubs in so you don't look like a ghost! I noticed if you use too much sun protection is less period make certain you put it on at least 15 to 20 minutes before you're going to be in the Sun. Don't wait until you're in the sun to put it on. I've tried every sunscreen known to mankind and this is by far the best. I'm a professional that works in the Sun and this is my most important piece of equipment.

This is best for anyone allergic to regular sunscreen
I am allergic to sun screen and also the sun. This is the only sunscreen I can wear without my eyes swelling shut. The only complaint is that it never fully is absorbed and I always look like I’m wearing sunscreen. Without it I can’t even go outside so I am willing to put up with it.
