Works great. Needed a new one for my Master Built. Kind of a no brainer to install if you are mechanically inclined. If not....well watch a YouTube video then. Definitely worth your purchase.

A 20 minute job to change, but the mounted studs were different than the way the old one was mounted with bolts from the outside. Not a big change, as the holes lined up, but had to move the ground wire to one of the studs. Works well.

This was an exact replacement for my Masterbuilt 40” Digital Electric Smoker. Before ordering this, check the wires on the back of your smoker. I have found some that were burnt/broken. It will be much easier and cheaper to repair a wire than replace an element. On my current one, The original element fell to pieces when trying to remove it. The install was straight forward and the new element heats great. I ran it at max temp 275*F for 24 hours and then smoked a Christmas turkey and ham for about 12 hours. So far so good. Much cheaper than a new smoker. Definitely recommend.

Paid extra to have the product delivered no later than 17 Jan 2020. The date it get delivered is on the 18th, having me to have to reschedule a function I had planned. To me that's totally unacceptable. As for the product when it did show up was exactly what I needed, easy to install and I was back in business smoking meat within the hour.

I must have an older model MES, because in the OEM heating element, there was a separate screw for grounding purposes. This heating element did not have a hole for this screw, but I was able to figure out it wants you to use one of the existing screws to ground. I definitely appreciate the new cables as well. I only needed to replace one, so now I have an extra if I run into issues in the future. I've run it twice since installing it. The first time, just to test that it worked and burn off some of the "factory" from the element. The second time was used for salmon and jerky and it ran for hours without issue. Previously I was tripping the GFCI before getting to temperature.

worked like a champ, had all the parts with it that were needed and then some, and reasonably clear instructions. It took only about ten minutes to put in.

I bought this to replace the heating element on my 40 inch Masterbuilt electric smoker. I replaced it myself and I am admittedly not very handy. Watched a you tube video and replaced it in about 40 minutesSmoker is definitely heating up and actually replacing the element fixed another issue I was having with the smoker shutting off after a few hours.Recently did two 12 -13 hours cooks (brisket) with no issues.
