SomniLight Amber Sleep Lamp

I really don't like the 'buttons'. I did put a drop of clear nail polish on the main/middle button. That does help. The night light is a must have for breastfeeding or moving around at night while trying to not wake my husband. When it's on, closing ones eyes you are not aware that it's on. The lowest setting light does have that effect kind of. My husband doesn't wake to ask me to turn off the light anymore- he's not aware it's on. Wish there was one more setting lower than the lowest. The buttons are awfully hard to hit and I've had this long enough to do it in my sleep. It is the better product out there thus far but would love to find one that has better buttons and allows me to do that sunrise effect. To be able to go through all the intensities- not just 3.

The on/off control is impossible to reliably operate in the dark. If you want to turn the light on at night, you have to hunt for the touch sensor, which is smoothly embedded in the base. There needs to be a way to feel where the switch is, but there isn't.

The light is like pleasing, like candlelight.The only thing I don't like is the difficulty of turning it off. You have to find the exact spot on the front of the lamp, apply steady pressure, and hope it turns off, which it does, about once out of every two finger pushes.On the other hand, turning it on in the middle of the night is easy. All you have to do is run your fingers over it.UPDATE:I found that by placing a drop of beeswax (has more stickiness than paraffin) on the on/off circle I can more easily locate that spot in the dark, in order to turn it off. I guess anything that would stick would work: silicone, caulk, a tiny piece of masking tape, etc. I made sure the drop was small enough to fit within the actual circle.

Holy game changer! This lamp helps an insomniac with a newborn see and then return to sleep readily. So helpful to be able to touch and turn on easily at different levels without fumbling with switches. I like that it has a night light glow setting and different levels of brightness that are easily adjusted. Doesn’t bother the little one at all. Only possible downside that would be true of any of these lamps is that baby poop is hard to see in this light because of the orangey light. Still, completely worth it to maximize sleep during night wakings.

This little lamp is awesome...the light is so soothing/easy on the eyes in the evening.This is most apparent if you have to turn a house light on (because of its blue light) after having the amber light on for even just a few min.It’s bright enough to read with on even the lowest setting (but I have good low light vision so I could see how one would require the medium or high setting).

Purchasing our second one. Love the light weight portability sleek design that turns on easily even in the pitch black by tapping gently. It’s simple as tapping three times to desired light brightness. To turn off, instead of tapping, just hold your finger still on the button and the light will shut off.

Great lamp. Very stylish too. My wife used to have white lights blazing in our bedroom, but now this give a nice soft evening hue. Yes, the one off switch take a little getting used to, but not long. It adds to the smooth modernistic design of the lamp.

I have two of these and love them. Love the adjustable brightness and ease with which the buttons work. Love the adjustable lamp arm.
