This ½" to SDS plus adapter works like a charm , but most ½" hammer drills have a 13 mm chuck and the ½" hex is 12.5 or 12.7 mm flat to flat, but it is about 14.43 or 14.66 mm across opposite corners, so it won't fit down into a 13 mm chuck until the corners have been ground off until they are about 13 mm. this is easy enough to do by clamping the hex part in a vise with each corner in turn standing proud of the top of the vise jaws by about 1 mm and filing it down to near the top of the vise jaws.

It does not fit into my Ryobi 1/2 inch hammer drill. Since when is 1/2 inch not 1/2 inch?

Does not fit on 1/2” hammer drill. Need to grind down to fit.

Great tool to have, now I can use easier to find bits.

Does not fit in my 1/2” Dewalt hammer drill. Unfortunately I bought and left it in my tool drawer until I needed it then realized it doesn’t fit. Misrepresentation at the least.
