Pleasant/Non-Toxic way to be rid of certain insects....
We live in the high desert and the area is rife with insect life of all types. Dirt/dust/sand gets everywhere no matter how tightly your doors and windows are sealed. The same thing happens with BUGS!Recently we have been overrun with silverfish who have invaded all areas of our home. Nothing short of a full scale chemical extermination would work right? WRONG! After an hour's web research I was confident that some sort of cedar product would be the answer to drive them all away. Guess what? IT WORKS!The box you get includes cedar cut to various shapes and sizes, some that can be attached to the included hooks (requires a bit of elbow grease) and some handy cedar spheres that you can play easily in drawers or wherever. I played the sachets inside the back of my high end guitar amplifiers to protect the paper and adhesives in the speaker cones from an all night silverfish All You Can Eat party.Since using this product (less than one week) all visible signs of the insects are gone I had them crawling IN MY BED at night and we live in a nice clean home. It was maddening to wake up night after night feeling these things crawling inside the sheets. I placed a small piece of cedar inside the bedding and that was the end of that problem once and for all hopefully.Your experience may vary, but I have written down exactly how they worked for me. They need not smell strong to work, the insects don't just find them unpleasant to smell. Turns out the scent/fumes are actually lethal to them. I had read they will go out of their way to avoid any areas where they can smell even the slightest hint of real cedar. I tend to believe what I have read now.By the way, the scent is pleasant and not overpowering. It's like sleeping in a cabin at the lake. Very nice! The scent does not overpower my clothing and I have the closet loaded with this stuff.GOOD LUCK with your pest problem. Mine seems solved for now. The Moth Cedar Wood Combo Pack is worth the money, definitely!

I love cedar wood
My house was being taken over my moths. It was so weird. I bought 2 boxes and the moths are GONE! I would have like a stronger scent but its fine...still love them. I bought 100% cedar oil to make them smell stronger. The oil stank horribly so I put them outside for a day. After that, they smelled great again. I also used these to keep the ants away from my dog's food while they are outside. TOTALLY worked. I was surprised. Also, I had a guy come with a strong personal scent and he hung clothes in closet. After I hung up ALL of these 10 cedar hangers, I didn't smell the guy's personal scent at all.

Good product but with a messy box
Put these out as soon as I got them. The smell isn't strong, but I'm not sure if that's a normal thing since it's not suppose to be for humans. The only downside I see to this product is the box inside once receiving. The plastic that was covering the items was ripped open, so that led to a mess. Especially the hooks inside which were coated in cedar (that was sticky) so I would recommend having some cleaner set aside.

Oily and Unusable
Was excited with the combination of products in this order but it arrived and disappointed. The box was not closed tight, the cedar products inside were oily and the sachets were discolored (a rusty brown). See attached photo where oil spots are all over the lid. Would be worried putting these next to clothing, blankets or other fabrics.Very sad but had to return.

Box showed up in really bad shape and house still full of moths.
My biggest complaint was that the box showed up open and pretty beaten up. I guess shipping a bunch of wood in a box that will happen? Idk just felt like a really old used box. Our house has a moth problem we put wood everywhere, it's been 2 weeks and we still have a moth problem. I didn't have much faith in this working to start with so not super surprised.

The Woodsy Aroma of Cedar
The scent of cedar is always a welcome one, and what better way to keep the moths at bay than with real cedar wood. These are very easy to disburse in all the important places where those villainous Gypsy Moths and their wormy offspring like to invade. There's no comparison between the obvious stench of mothballs and the more pleasant aroma of cedar wood. I've tried the mothballs in the past and was not happy with the smell. This was definitely a great purchase and I'd absolutely recommend this ready-made moth repellant to my friends and family.

Scent faded in less than 24 hrs & box was damaged
The scent faded in my small apt. closet in a matter of hours. It was nonexistent by the next day. Some of the sachets for my drawers faired slightly better, but have since faded after a week. The box arrived completely trashed and there were oily stains all over it. It looked like someone had opened it, boxed it back up, then proceeded to kick it all the way to my doorstep.I should have returned it, but I really needed to get some cedar in my closet...

Bought for moths -- also works to repel ants!
I bought this to prevent clothes moths in a closet. Then I read that cedar repels ants. In the last few weeks, we have had a lot of tiny ants on our kitchen counter, and our ant baits didn't get rid of them. Last night I put a few of the cedar pieces and one of the bags on the counter. This morning there were only two tiny ants -- hooray!
