These gloves are fantastic! They will come up to about mid-forearm, are ambidextrous (they have grips on both sides), and provide the best protection from heat. They are thick, heavy, and comfortable; just handling them immediately instills confidence in the protection that they boast.I make dutch oven bread pretty regularly and got these to help handle the 450 degree dutch oven on the occasions that I have to lay hands on it. These gloves allow me better movement, grip, and protection. I am able to hold on to that hot cast iron pot for much longer than traditional pot holders would allow. I love that they are in glove format rather than mitt/mitten, because of the added agility given.Well worth the cost, I would have gladly paid more knowing what I know now!

I like that these come up on my wrist a lot farther than most oven gloves of this type…much less likely to burn my wrists reaching into the oven.I also appreciate the dark color. My other gloves were white/beige and showed stains and looked dirty all of the time.I like the ability to hang these by the loop on the cuffs.They perform as well as any other high temp oven mitt I have tried.My only complaint (and this is negligible) is that sometimes I’m trying to get the oven mitt on in a hurry to get something out of the oven, and it takes a few beats longer to get this one on due to the nice snug longer cuff.I would buy these again. Well made, great price, and they work well

I recently purchased a new grill from Amazon, and after watching several videos of professionals using gloves to turn the meat instead of prongs, it made me wonder if I should change my technique. I took a leap of faith, and I am glad I did! It was so much easier to work around the grill knowing I was not going to burn myself having little feedback from heat. The gloves are pretty cool looking, the manufacturers say one size fits most, but I found the finger wells tight. After my first use, they did loosen up. They come with a ziplock pouch that's great for storage. All in all, this was a good buy.Update:After having these gloves, for some time I was hoping they would stretch. However, they have not. I would say if you have small to medium size hands they work perfectly. For me, they are slightly tight.

I recently lost my eyesight and using the oven became a scary proposition. I could put a casserole dish in while the oven was cold but I really kind of needed to take it out while it was hot. I could not properly cook a baked potato in the microwave with the same results. After a while these were recommended to me and I cannot thank the person enough! What a difference they make. They take all the fear out of cooking again. I have small hands so they are a tad large for me, they must be made for big grilling type Guy hands, but that is ok, they are flexible enough and they protect up my arms long enough that I can reach into the oven and take hot stuff out without fear of burning my arms on the racks while reaching for the dish. They really ARE heatproof!

I am a convert! I am an avid home cook and have always hated the oven mitts - that are generally useless and cumbersome and you can't get a good hold of things. Therefore for years I have always used dischcloths to move pots and pains from the oven - and I have the scars to prove it.These gloves are amazing - I have used them to move dutch ovens, grill pans, roasting pans and even cast iron skillets - supporting the bottom with a glove as well - it definitely does start to get warm but not for 10 or so seconds - I have bought a second pair for a vacation home as well.The fit is good for me - I have a medium sized hand.

Wonderfully heat resistant but tight at the forearms so can't fully extend them - so, what's the point of buying gloves that were so long?

My husband has large hands and the gloves fit him perfectly, performs very well, are non slip and protect his wrists and forearms when dealing with the oven. Very satisfied with the performance, the feel and really love the fingers.

Bought for tent camping, not backpackers just park camping. They are a great size, worked better then any other potholder or gloves I've used before. I normally use glove potholders at home and we heat with wood so use fire gloves for that. These were the best I've ever used, they fit great allowing you to pick stuff up and use your hands. They heat didn't leak through if I was carrying a pan on the bottom across the campsite. My husband and teenagers liked them and we all have very different hand sizes and they didn't stretch out.

great heat resistance.. held bbq rotisserie rod that was heated for 2 hours and didn't feel a thing. Of course, never get scalding liquids on it as it is not waterproof. My hands are small/medium and these gloves fit perfectly, as I was concerned with other gloves on the market fitting too loosely.

A very good quality pair of heat resistant gloves. I hv no problem holding my 230 deg C heated cast iron pot! Seller is also responsive to my enquiry.

Gloves came quickly and work as advertised. I user there's with the bbq and the bonfire and have no problem quickly rearranging Logs on the fire
