This light fixture is amazing! Very well made and great quality especially for the price. Packaging was phenomenal and everything arrived secure and undamaged. Assembly of the fixture wasn’t difficult but took some time. You need two people for installation-one to hold the fixture while the other connects the electrical as it is heavy. Also directions are not great and are inaccurate. It says to connect the black (hot) wire from the fixture to the black wire in the electrical box. Problem is there is not a black wire on the fixture! There is a grounding wire and a double electrical wire covered in clear shielding which is not polarized. This would typically be your black and white wires however the wires are the same color. Note you can hook them up either way to the electrical box, it does not matter which is connected to the black and white wires. Would buy again even with the difficulty installing.

I really wanted to love this light fixture but upon unpacking it I saw the included instructions and just knew it could be a problematic assembly (as mentioned in many of the reviews but the seller did note in the description that they were improved. What???) First of all the print and photos are very small, even wearing my glasses it was difficult to see them clearly but I read through them all carefully. I inventoried all the items before unwrapping anything, it looked like they were all there so that was good. The item was packaged very well, so that was also good, no apparent damage upon initial viewing. NOTE: be aware that there is a bright shiny copper ground wire that is visible when you run the wiring through the chain. I could see right away it is not attractive and is very obvious, AND is it NOT visible in any of the product photos or description. I almost stopped there but I decided to unwrap some pieces and started assembly just to see if I could overlook that wire. However, the 2nd arm piece that I tried to attach was damaged, it was difficult to get the nut off the screw portion and then I could not get it back on, the threading was weird and messed up. In general it was difficult to get the few nuts off and back on that I tried. There is also a lock washer that goes with this to try and help tighten the pieces together but it doesn't say to use tools to tighten the nuts with the lock washer, so you are supposed to hand tighten them? According to the instructions you should be able to assemble with 2 screw drivers, a pair of wire cutters and a pair of wire strippers. At this point I just decided to return it as I needed a light fixture right away and felt like the quality of the item was just not all that great in my opinion. Maybe I was unlucky and received a defective light fixture but for me this item was a NO.

I like it once hung. I thought it had wood but it is all metal and the metal is painted to look like wood. When hung it still looks like wood. It's not terrible to put together. The chain is actually ample for a taller ceiling. Our second one we had to buy a chain for it.

We installed this over our breakfast table and it is lovely! It took a little trial and error to find the right bulbs because they're uncovered. The first 60w bulbs felt like staring directly into the sun and cast intense shadows everywhere. We ended up going to 40w frosted flame tip bulbs and it's a much softer look without all the intense glare. The chandelier itself was pretty easy to install but it's large and definitely requires 2 people to hang. I love the look and it really freshened up our kitchen. As other reviewers mentioned, it's metal, NOT wood, on the frame. Highly recommend.
