You know, for a low carb noodle, the taste isn’t bad!
Since being diagnosed pre-diabetic, I’ve been trying to restrict my carb intake per the Davis method of nutrition. Like many other reviewers, I found the shirataki noodles downright nasty. Zucchini noodles turned my recipes into SOUP, and many no grain noodles were loaded with CARBS. Before resigning myself to only eating noodles form roasted spaghetti squash(which I like), I tried these lasagna noodles, but in the traditional way of boiling. I made my own sauce with my roasted romas and garlic, which is a fresher tastier sauce than out of a jar. The dish tasted good but, no matter how long I baked it, ended up a watery mess! I should have NOT boiled nor soaked the noodles, given the runny but tasty sauce and moisture from the, cheeses and cooked drained spinach. I had to serve it to hubby in a pasta bowl; but he raved about how “tasty” it was and didn’t mind the soupiness! I’ll buy more and give my recipe another try layering the noodles dry.

I purchased these so I could bring lasagna back into our low carb life style, been fighting the fight with kids who do not want to give up the goodies that we all love. I followed directions and soaked these for a minute or two in water to make them soft and pliable, sprayed my pan lightly with oil and assembled as I would normally. I used one and a half boxes to make a 2 qt lasagna. 1/8th of the casserole with a salad was very filling and tasted great. I didn't use a very liquid sauce because I was in a hurry and didn't make enough so the noodles didn't have a lot of fluid to soak up but my family loves al dente pasta so it wasn't a problem. I soaked 2 packages so I had a half a package of softened noodles left, I placed them in a ziploc, squeezed out the air and saved them for the next day. The next day I took them out, they did not stick together cut about 6 sheets up and made a quick soup with a left over piece of chicken and broth topped with onions. Delicious! I really love these noodles!

Love it! I was skeptical
Love it! I was skeptical, but I'm so glad that I took a chance and tried it. My husband and I are on low carb/low sugar diets and have tried all types of pasta substitutes...some good (Pow pasta) and some bad (shirataki noodles). I gently simmered the noodles for 15 minutes, then ran the noodles under cold water in the colander. The texture was perfect! Will most definitely be buying these on the regular. Yay to be able to eat lasagna again!

These work but are they worth it?
Ok, so the positive is the end result is not bad. That said these have a not so nice smell. I soaked the noodles in warm water before layering the lasagna. The main take away is that they are a bit tougher and you need a knife to cut the lasagna where you wouldnt normally....I just dont know that I am sold on it to be honest. If this was the only option then maybe yes but it really isnt.

Yum
I used these with my regular lasagna recipe. Very very good! They are easy to use as you do not have to cook them. Soak in water and they are ready to layer up.

Not for me
These did not appeal to my taste and they had a weird texture.
