Fun purchase with slight learning curve
Sooooo glad I purchased these chrome powders, and when I deplete my favorite colors, I will definitely buy again. These are like little containers of loose eye shadow, and any other reviewer who promises you will spill the entire lot if you aren’t careful is telling you the truth. So please – BE CAREFUL. In fact, I’d recommend only keeping one container open at a time and strategically placing said open container over a white piece of printer paper so you can dump your waste right back into the container when you’re done. The good news is that the each of these little eye shadow containers come with their own applicator as well as a little zip-up baggie to store them, ensuring no powder mess in storage. There is a slight learning curve. Buy yourself a training wheel like I did (they are super cheap and well worth it – see photo), and go to youtube and watch more than one video on the application of chrome powders. I found that many people presented the slightest differences in techniques, and you will need to find the approach that works best for you..The instructions say to apply the powder over the top coat you’ve applied over the black polish, but for experimental purposes, I played with both a white base and a black base. You’ll see this noted on the training wheel photo – the nail tips are with a black base, and the center of the stick each as a white base; you can see there is a bit of a difference with most colors. The black powder was a waste for me. I tried it over red as well and it just looked dirty. The red powder, however, is going to look fantastic at Christmas and even though it’s still August, I’m already designing wreaths and trees in my head (with sparkles!) to go on top of the red. Ooooh, or taping off and doing stripes with the greens! Also, I agree with other reviewers who say some colors are awfully similar, and you’ll also see this in my photos. Each container is numbered, so you don’t have to come up with your own naming convention like you do with other powders. I did, however, call these CP# (chrome powder, then the assigned number) on my training sticks.I ultimately chose CP5 to go on my natural nails for my first real attempt, and I think I’m quite pleased with how I did, being a complete non-professional and not being able to go to the salon during COVID. Now, I’m not sure I need to go back. They don’t have chrome powders anyway, and I have to say, it was kind of fun seeing that I could do it myself. I know it’s not perfect and I made a bubble or two and my index fingernail looks a little lumpy, but that’s all on me, not these powders.Lessons learned and worth noting:1. I’d go 2 coats on the powder. I am not careful with my nails and tend to bang them up as if they are unbreakable. They ‘re not, of course, and I should be more careful, but I probably won’t be. So when you bang up a top coat that has the powdered top coat directly beneath and then black beneath that, the black is going to show through… and it did. After about a week, the tips of my nails also started showing black with no chrome left.2. You can do some neat things by putting this stuff on in different color layers and then filing it off. Think geode.3. I found that I was initially applying too much powder and it wasn’t spreading and adhering as well as it should, but when I went thinner, It went on much nicer and smoother, and less glittery and more chromey. Use the leftovers on the applicator instead of just reloading.4. I’m not kidding about buying the artificial nail training sticks. You can’t tell how awesome these will look from the container and you’ll appreciate having the colors at your fingertips (that was just terrible). I also love the nail sticks because you can place them over your own nail to see how the color looks against your skin tone.

Good product
The colors are amazing, so many different hues ! One of the powders seemed to be slightly open (during transit) in the packaging and it contaminated the bag that it was in Disappointed in the loss of product before I even opened it. Other wise, great product.

Great value but blue and red "holo" aren't very good
Amazing value but the red and blue that were supposed to be holographic ate not very holographic and they don't want to rub onto the nail.as well as the other chromes. Normal holo and gold holo were good! Other chromes were also good, good color palette

Pretty Decent with One Issue
You are getting a lot of chrome powder for your money, and they all work the way they should. But I have some reservations, the first is that some of the colored chromes are not as vibrant as they appear in the pictures. the chrome effect is there but the color itself is very dull (the orange powder is the worst about this). My biggest problem is that the white and black are not chrome powders. They're glitter. I still like them a lot, the glitter is definitely pretty and small enough that you can varnish it like the chrome powder. However, the point stands that they are not the chrome powder I expected I would get when ordering chrome and holo powder.TL;DR the powders are worth the money but beware the white and black are not chrome powders.

Justtried
Some tips for using the powder.1. I used Sally Hansen Mirclae Gel in white and in black along with their topcoat. Wi9th the white polish I found the final colors to be very light. You can make them darker if you wait for the first coat of polish, powder and topcoat to dry and then add another coat of each. With the black polish I found the same to be true except the first coat is deeper than the white polishes were.2. I used artificial nails from Dollar Tree. I got 80 nails for $1.00. If you don't have a Dollar Tree near you, they are on line.3. Until I perfected my putting the powder on the nails did not look great!4. I don't recommend using the applicator provided. My finger did a better job because I could feel how much pressure I was placing on my nails. Very light pressure is needed!!!5. I lightly tapped the powder all over the topcoat first using my finger. The top coat should be slightly tacky. Be careful how you check, your fingerprints will show in the final finish.6.Then I lightly rubbed the powder in a circular motion all over the nail. This seems to help set the powder a little bit better. You may not see a chrome like finish until you do the next step.7. Next, lightly rub the powder in a back and forth motion going with the length of the nail. You should begin to see the finish you expected. If the color is not deep enough see #1.8. I practiced doing 1 nail in each color. It took me about the first 13 colors before I figured it out. Prior to the 13th one, I saw areas that remained powder looking and some chrome with it. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.9. I also found that the first few containers I opened spilled very easy. So, I started setting the container on a level surface and gently moving it back and forth several times in opposite directions. Then, I gently tapped the container up and down on the level surface. This moved the powder so that if I was careful opening the container it didn't spill out. If you try to open the container and you tilt it, you may need to do the moving and tapping again.10. I'm not a professional nail artist, but I am positive that many of the problems I had with this product when I first tried it was my fault. In my opinion you use so little of the product per nail that it should last for quite a whileHope this helps.

Awesome chrome powders!
The media could not be loaded. This a great set of chrome powders and can be used over a no wipe top coat or patted onto the sticky layer. They are super shiny or glittery depending on how you apply. The pots are great, better than the tiny clear ones as they have a wide lip so you don’t lose powder every time you open it. I looked at the various sets and this one had the best colour, price and quantity combination. Lots of shades to choose from and don’t forget you can mix shades or apply ombré style.

Perfect for beginners!
Got these today and so impressed as I'm a complete newbie at metallics. So easy to use! Photo shows on plain, top-coated nail. Put black under though and the colours are even more vibrant! Simple and easy! What more could you want?!

Good
These were great, sadly I got alot of duplicate colours and not the variety that is advertised, but the product itself is pigmented and fantastic as a pigment in acrylic nails and as a chrome top coat, no complaints just wish I got the variation that was advertised

Definitely not chrome!
These are definitely not chrome powders. I’m not overly surprised though given the price. They are very highly pigmented though and look good on the nail, they are slightly glittery under a bright light. Didn’t receive the colours in the photo, plus many of the colours are identical. Again wasn’t expecting too much going on the price!

A lot of the same colour
This did not have the range of copies displayed on the photo. I paid almost £15 for the smallest shade differences. Will not ever purchase again. They didn’t even bother to stick the labels on all of the pots. Very lazy packing and some labels were just stuck on the outside of the packets.
