After being outside during the day, our cat came in with something sticky matted into her fur along her back and sides. We weren't able to get it out with a regular brush and after a couple of days she was not able to clear it herself either, so we looked for something more purpose-made to deal with it.This brush worked wonders - it slid through her fur and whatever was matted in, and gently removed whatever it was. Our cat loved being brushed with this too - she happily sat on my knee for half an hour purring away as I brushed the cause of the matting out.We've never brushed her before as her fur isn't long and she keeps good care of it herself but after brushing and removing the matting, her fur was incredibly soft and even seemed to have a sort of extra sheen to it that it doesn't normally.Despite the matting, the metal "prongs" only bent slightly and this didn't effect the effectiveness of it. Good quality and handled a heavy duty situation easily.Removal of fur afterwards was easy, it all pulled off in a single clump by hand.Very happy with this purchase, and a very happy cat now that whatever caused the matting was removed!

Bought this to help my grandmothers oversized cat clean her fur. She absolutely loves it, throws herself on the floor to be brushed.Is effective with pulling dead, greasy and dandruffed fur out and cleans the rest.The metal bristles feel soft and look like the will easily break but they seem very robust and work brilliantly.Smaller than expected, good for small dogs, cats and other animals.

Our cats spent a lot of this summer in the field next to our house, coming home covered in grass seeds and burrs. We have two little Burmese who have very short hair so the seeds just fall off, but our black moggy has mid-length hair and it's hard to stroke the seeds out.This comb works really well for mid-length fur coats. I've had a Maine Coon in the past and this style didn't work for him, but it's perfect for my black lad.

This brush was not at all what I expected because it’s about half the size I expected it to be but I am so delighted with it and give it 5 stars for the following reason:I have two large long haired cats that are prone to matts however the biggest one hates being brushed and will attack me and anything resembling a brush whenever I try to groom him. My girl runs away and hides at any opportunity when I am brushing her. However both cats allow me to groom them with this brush. It’s such a small brush that I didn’t expect it to make such a difference however it must remind them of being groomed by their mother’s tongue because both allow me to brush them, both purr when I am brushing them and I am unscratched and have all five fingers still intact after using this brush for the past week. I can’t recommend it enough for cats that dislike being brushed.

Our veterinary nurse used one of these on my elderly cat who's not as able to groom herself as she used to be. I was impressed by the amount of fur that was removed and wasted no time tracking this brush down on Amazon. I was a little taken aback at how inexpensive it was, having bought other grooming products costing considerably more in the past. Delivery was a day earlier than originally predicted, which was a bonus.The brush itself is robust and incredibly effective. All the fur remains in the teeth, so there's no hassle having to pick up fallen clumps. My cat's coat looks amazing.

Nice brush if your doing something like brushing out wool but the bristles are rather sharp and I have cut my hand with it. I wouldn’t say this is safe to use on animals especially not ones with medium or short coats like labs and goldens. The brush handle is rather small but the texture and design is nice.

After getting a long haired cat I quickly realised I would need a good brush to help her out with grooming! This brush is so cheap compared to others and it’s perfect for the job - easy to hold and use and picks up a lot of hair. I clean it often but all the hair comes out really easily and just sticks together. Most importantly my cat loves it! She rubs against it and is always up for a brush.

I have 2 cats - one very affectionate but with anxiety and rips her fur out constantly, the other miserable and antisocial. Have been grooming them every day with this brush and finally 2.5 years after getting them the anxious one is far more relaxed and has dramatically reduced how much she rips her fur out, and the mean one actually seems to like me now! It’s a miracle! Great little brush, sends them both into heaven, their coats look great and very easy to clean after use.
