Easy to use and very effective at getting brown stains off iron base

Great product...value for money! The back of my iron had a black patch of residue for a long while and no matter what I tried I could get the black patch out til now. Your iron needs to be hot...I put the cream on a tea towel and cleaned the iron and all the black residue went, granted I had to do it 3x it was easy enough and no mess. I'd probably say make sure you got a window open as it will steam up in the space. I would definitely recommend!

I really rate this because it works. It's easy to use but I find you do have to give it a bit of elbow grease. I use it by folding an old tea towel into four and draping it over the very edge of the ironing board. Put a small amount of the iron cleaner on the tea towel where it's at the edge of the board then once your iron is up to temperature rub the burnt part firmly over the cleaner and the marks should start to come off. Depending on how burnt the soleplate is you may have to repeat the process a few times putting more of the cleaner in a different place on the tea towel each time, ( I keep an old tea towel specifically for this job and just wash it when I do my cleaning cloth wash ) There is a bit of an unpleasant smell whilst using the cleaner but it doesn't linger. It's worked for me every time I've used it and I always keep a tube of this in the cupboard.

The soleplate of my iron was quite badly scorched so thought I would give this product a go. Having read the instructions I decided to take the hot iron into the garden in order to have maximum ventilation. The paste certainly didn't work immediately & required several applications but got there in the end with it & the iron is looking so much better! The fumes are certainly a potential irritant & I would advise anyone using this product to ensure they carry out the procedure in a well ventilated area.

I am very sceptical about things like this so didn't take a before picture! I really wished I had after I'd done it 🤦🏻‍♀️ It worked a treat 👌🏻 I hung a flannel over the edge of my ironing board. Put a line of the paste on the edge where it hung so I could get more pressure and control over where I was cleaning. It did smoke and smell a bit but nothing like I was expecting from reading some of the comments. It did take a bit of time but it was very satisfying to see the gunk coming off, I could have stayed there all day doing it, lol! I did use 3/4 of the tube so if I were you I'd buy 2 so you always have one available. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This works really well, better than the ones that come in push-up sticks. The reason I have only given 4 stars is that it has a very strong pungent smell and it’s hard to avoid breathing it in, even in a well ventilated area. Even so I will buy it again.

Brilliant product, it actually worked!

Me ha funcionado perfectamente, lo que he echo ha sido quitarle el agua a la caldera, calentar la plancha, y pasarle el producto, dejarlo un rato reposar y pasarle un trapo. Lo he tenido que hacer varias veces pero me ha dejado la plancha como nueva.

Vraiment je m attendais pas à un si bon résultat, je suis ravie la semelle de mon fer est comme neuve , à fer chaud , mettre un peu de produit et repasser une veille serviette éponge en appuyant un peu sur le fer , résultat immédiat 👍 vraiment merci pour ce super produit .

Prodotto acquistato per pulire la piastra del ferro da stiro che si era annerita, fa egregiamente il suo lavoro. Da usare sulla piastra calda, usando un panno di cotone, pulisce perfettamente. Veramente ottimo. Lo consiglio.

Cleans the iron like it should. Hard to find in the local store anymore. Glad to be able to order it.
