Stolen Jewel: A Bad Boy Mafia Romance (Alexis Abbott's Hostages) Paperback – June 25, 2021

This is truly a crazy ride. There’s a lot that’s discovered on their journey that starts out as him kidnapping her. However plans change and then this book is one hot scene and hold your breath scenes after another! It’s really written well and has a twisted ending but leads to the HEA I love after a really intense dark Bratva romance book like this! I recommend this highly !

It is action packed and drama filled, there’s the Mafia, fighting, shooting, twists and turns, romance, sexy, steamy, chemistry. I voluntarily reviewed a free advance reader copy of this book and gave my honest opinion.

Jewel was kidnapped in a club when she and some friends were celebrating after finishing a tough year at college. Her captive was Stefan who was to kill her. She didn't know it at the time but her father had set that up. He was a criminal, but mostly a trafficker. He mostly ignored her and didn't want her around. The ending proved that, when she looked him in the face and he realized she wasn't eliminated. He was arrested and sent to jail. She and Stefan were now free to live a decent life with a baby on the way! Good Read!

It’s been awhile since I’ve read anything by this author, so I was keen to pick this book up and check out her new work. The stolen Jewel has been kidnapped by Stefan under orders from the Bratva. It doesn’t take long for Stefan to refuse to obey his boss—hurting women & children are on his hard limits list. The story starts off with lots of action, and fear-ridden law student Jewel is barely coping. While I liked both the characters, I didn’t find Stefan’s initial connection to Jewel felt real. He had a code (no killing or hurting women or children), but it felt a bit of a jump to burn his bridges for a woman he barely knew. The story was entertaining and had a predictable twist. It was an okay read for me.I received a copy of this book. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.

When Stefan is assigned to kidnap Jewel, it goes against his loose moral code, he doesn’t hurt innocents, especially women but he has no choice as part of the Bratva. Jewel has no idea what’s going on, her dad is ruthless and was never close to him, so when Stefan kidnaps her, she has little faith that her dad will rescue her. When Stefan’s orders change from kidnap to eliminate Jewel, he has no choice but to go on the run with her, to protect her as he starts to have feelings for his captive.A good read with steam, suspense and danger. I didn’t really get the connection between them, not much conversations as most of the story was what they were thinking or feeling and not verbally between them. There was also a few things that didn’t add up for me. First is her run through the forest with no shoes, scrapped, bruised, bleeding and then nothing on her condition after and no concern from Stefan or cleaning her up. Also, her dad, Jewel was back and forth, first he was a good dad, then a bad one, wanting a connection and then not....confusing at times. The steamy scenes were steamy but some of the language/descriptions used during it, was not all that smexy. I did like the ending and how it all played out and the characters were good....3.5 stars*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*

Drinking, dancing and wall to wall bodies are definitely not Jewel's scene, but she's here with a friend so it looks to be a long night. Trying to find a reason to leave, this shy, unassuming law student has no idea what is headed her way.Stefan is a made man within the Bratva. He's done a lot of horrible things, from enforcing to murder. Now he's tasked with kidnapping the one woman he's finding hard to resist. This is not like the hardened assassin. He doesn't have feelings. He only thinks of himself and completing the mission. Jewel is changing him.Jewel has a hold on Stefan's heart but as a soldier, the Bratva owns his body and now they want his soul.SUSPENSEFUL AND DANGEROUS ! BROODY, ALPHA BAD BOY ALONG WITH HIS SMART, SASSY, SEXY CAPTIVE TURNED WARD, EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY WANT IN A BOOK ! SMOKING HOT, WILD AND WONDERFUL ! ! ! A DEFINITE MUST READ !

I'm so disappointed about this book. I couldn't finish reading it due to one scene in the book. Waste of my money.

First off let me say- welcome back Alexis Abbott. I have missed you. I know you have/had things going on in your life and I wish you a safe passage through what you're going/went through.I really liked this book. It was a great addition to the Bratva saga. I loved how Jewel (was the light) and Stefan (was the evil) came together. They really made a great team. They were polar opposites yet they were compatible in every way. I loved them together. It wasn't mentioned at how old Stefan was but I think he was a bit older than Jewel. They just worked well together.I absolutely hated Freddy (Jewel's father). He was really evil and I wished him more damage than what Stefan did. What he did- was unimaginable and truly hateful. And completely unforgivable. I'm so glad he got what was coming to him.
