Foot Switch for Standard lamp in Black

An old foot-button on one of our lamps stopped staying down, and this replacement did the job well - it would seem suitable for 2 or 3-wire cords as it has paths for the other wires to go around the sides of the middle switch block. The grub screws are on the 2 narrow ends and the holes are wide enough for wires to go through even if they already have a slightly thicker connection block crimped onto them from the old switch (which was an IKEA lamp).\Chose the wider button to be easier to find with my foot by touch if its dark (and different from the other foot switch for a lamp next to it).

Absolute rubbish. Although the switch appears to be functional when received, when wired up the plunger fouls the casing and the switch does not work. The internal fittings to hold the wired connections are too flimsy for the job and cannot hold the connections in place to avoid the plunger fouling the casing.Poor design-poor manufacture. Avoid this item and save your money.

The hardest part of the job was removing the old switch, which didn’t survive. Having done it, it’s just common sense, how to wire this switch to the lamp. Once done, its on/off action is nicely positive and in my case better than the original. Recommended.

Well-made replacement footswitch for floor lamp - solid, earthed, delivered on time, and at a decent price without extortionate shipping costs which most greedy companies bang on to low-value items.

This seems fine to me, works OK no problems

This foot switch does the job for me and was bought to replace the faulty switch on my reading lamp. The only faults if any is that could be heavier to make it more stable on the carpet and the switch action is not positive enough, Finally for the money it is excellent value.
