I am not easy to please!
Free shipping and this arrived quicker than my other items from Amazon ordered on the same day. I just tried it so don't know about how my body will respond but my taste buds are happy. I usually just like to drink very filtered, pure water and appreciate the clean, pure taste. Therefore, adding this to a drink is not a goal of mine. Today, I added it to my peanut butter along with sesame seeds and coconut. I like to eat this mixture on top of banana. I also see adding this.to my spaghetti, guacamole, salad, etc. I didn't notice it was in my peanut butter at all. I am 57 yrs. and am finding it more and more difficult to digest meat. I used to like canned fish but I don't tolerate it like I used to; maybe because of the high histamine content? Same goes for cheese which used to be my go to. I haven't given up these foods but eat them much less. On the other hand, protein and B12 vitamins are essential at my age more than ever. Supplements are costly and B12 supplements have included side effects for me. This flour is the most natural, gentle, unobtrusive, gentle way I can think of to get necessary nutrition without spending or eating a lot. As I age, I also have a much smaller appetite and eat half as much as I used to. I often feel tired, heavy, and bloated after even a smaller portion of meat. But eating this flour mixed in with a small meal/snack has not slowed me down. I wish people could get past their negative thoughts and adopt products like these so they would become available at supermarkets. I also wish the package had storage directions on it. Manufacturer instructed me to store cricket flour in a cool, dry place. So, no need to freeze or refrigerate. Store like wheat flour. August update: I have been incorporating this flour into most of my meals and feel great. I would say that this does increase energy levels. My low energy days are definitely less frequent.

Ground super fine....no clumping!
After reading all the reviews of other brands ...horrible!....I was pleased to find this product. It is ground so fine you can add it to ANYTHING...eggs, soups, sauces, smoothies. There is no bad taste for me. As is the scent. Especially since I transferred it to a jar for easier use.

Gives too much fried taste/smell
I tried adding it to my bread, at 10% my dogs declined to eat that bread. It gave a pronounced fried taste/smell to the bread. I gave up on the idea to use it.

Not organic
The amazon description states that this is organic. When I received the item, there is nothing on the packaging that indicates that it is certified organic or has any organic contents. The description on Amazon is false and misleading.

Surprisingly not even remotely bad.
I chose to just try this to help resolve the entomophobia of my western culture upbringing and as a general curiosity. I like to stay sustainable where possible, and since I have a billion crickets in my pasture, this seems a logical candidate. First off it is a WHOLE living creature, all that was needed to keep it alive sans water is in there. So it is also a great nutritional source past the protein load. It IS high in cholesterol, 35% daily uptake, so if that's an issue for you, be aware. Texture is coarser than some may be used to, more like a light corn meal than a powdery dust like most protein powders. But I did not find it unappealing. Almost zero appreciable smell wet or dry, and what little is there smells more earthy than unpleasant. All in all, I would say the experience was completely positive with two exceptions. #1, and this is not the product's fault considering you know what it is when you buy it, if you do have a chitin sensitivity, which is more common than people realize, it may cause some minor reaction, the first couple of time a little runny nose and slight throat irritation, but it passed quickly, and seemed to lesson as I consumed the remainder of the bag. I get the same thing with shrooms. And #2 is a caution, they package this with multiple very small silica gel packets, very easy to miss when scooping into a blender, and I did, then noticed the crunch in my smoothy was not ice... My vita-mix ground it to dust, so just pay attention. It would be nice if these were more distinct, adhered to the bag, longer if not larger, etc to prevent this mistake. Verdict: very happy and would purchase again.

Mild taste is a plus
I like that This brand has a noticeably milder taste than another brand I've used for some time.

eating differently is good.
its not beef, chicken, or pork. its crickets flour. doesn't have the pungent aroma i've gotten in another cricket flour but idk if that's good or not. i add it to cookies. i cant notice a difference in taste and i add way more than recommended.
