I have a cat allergy, yet have a cat and it’s possible all because of this! I went down a rabbit hole to find a solution to my cat allergy because I didn’t want to give away my sweet kitty. Maybe this will help you too: - the enzyme in the cats saliva would cause me to break out in eccema and rashes. Sneezing with watery eyes. - egg shells help break down the enzyme that is in their saliva without harming the cat. So when they lick and clean themselves the enzyme does not go onto their fur. Causing me an allergic reaction. - I add a very small amount 1/4- 1/2 teaspoons to my cat’s wet food every night. It does cause a stronger scent to his poop, but that’s the price I’m willing to pay. - the powder is long lasting and to me worth every penny. I was skeptical at first but believe it’s worth it.

I made my own powder for my border collie's TCVM diet, but this is so-o-o-o much easier and about the same cost as buying eggs and then doing the necessary cleaning and grinding. This is a super-fine powder that easily mixes into her food. She hasn't had any negative issues and it must taste good because she eats her food without complaint. It has no odor, either. Arrived on schedule; will buy again. Two paws up!

I got this eggshell powder to add calcium to my dogs’ diet, and it’s been great so far! I just sprinkle a little on their breakfast and they gobble it right up, no issues at all. Giving 4 stars only because I still need to see their lab results before knowing exactly how well it’s working, but so far I’m really happy with it.

This is a super-great way to give calcium to your dog (or cat). Just sprinkle it on their food. Done. The one ingredient is literally: eggshells. That's it. No weirdness going on in the fine print on the back of the bag.

Calcium is an essential component of homemade pet food, especially if you are not grinding bone to use in the food. I am using a very balanced recipe from a vet and the ingredients mimic the commercial preparation (Puploaf). But any recipe that is being formulated for your pet needs to include a trusted source of calcium, and this is the one that has the membrane as well as the shell. It is a very fine powder and also a product of the USA.
