Hasbro know they have a captive audience here. I admit my kids loved, loved, loved making these little cake things. But what do you really get for your money? 6 absolutely tiny "whoopie pies" that in my opinion taste filthy because they're so loaded with sugar. The content is tiny for what you pay.We have the Easy Bake cookbook - itself a kind of rip-off, in most of the recipes the key ingredients are listed as being the Easybake kits. But there's some in there we can try with regular ingredients. I'm going to do that now.

I was slightly disappointed with the whole easy bake experience. The fact it didn't come with any food to bake was upsetting. This is the first recipe my 5 and 8 year old daughters have tried. The whoopee pies turn out being the size of like..a quarter so they are super tiny. My kids happen to like tiny foods so they actually loved it but I felt it was a whole lot of hassle for less than half a bite. The recipe itself was easy enough to make and they tasted good although we may or may not have burned the second batch. Each batch only produces 3 whoopee pies, so six in total and there are 2 mixes in the box. I guess I was just expecting more from easy bake.

It was a little confusing to bake at first for my granddaughter. Hardly made but 3 little pies from one package. Was messy for her to roll.
