Great for Flag Pole in a Parade
Great HD Hitch Pole Holder. Very sturdy and a very close fit in the receiver . very little wobble. As I do with all my hitch attachment inspect the holder after use and look for scratches, scrapes, etc. and touch up with a rust proof mid gloss black spray paint. Using a fiberglass pole is fine if using in a stable non moving situation. If you want to drive with a flag pole see my idea below. I used as shown in the pictures a 2 foot section of 2 inch PVC as the initial sleeve into the hitch pole holder. I then placed a 2" to 1.5" PVC reducer. I then used a 10 foot piece of 1.5 inch PVC for the actual pole. I needed to sand out the reducer to allow the 1.5 inch pole to slide in and out. I drilled 1/4 inch holes all the way through the 1.5" PVC about two inches from the top and another hole all the way through about 35" down the pipe. (to accomidate the grommet holes of a 3' X 5' Flag. ) Used two 2.5 " eye bolts and two light weight Carabiners hook to secure the eye to and through the grommets. PVC Pipes and Hardware all bought locally at Home Depot. This worked great for a low speed parade. You can always shorten the pole or stay with a 2 inch PVC for the entire pole if you want to drive faster or just have more stability.

Works well for flying an American Flag off the back of my jeep!

DIY Cheap Flag Kit
I needed a flag pole hitch mount ASAP, but I didn't want to pay too much. This fit the bill perfectly. Yes it's thin, especially if you're used to towing hitch accessories. So I put it to the test by standing on it, jumping on it, and also twisting it with a metal pole. And yes, I'm a full grown adult over 200lbs. It did not deform, just sprung back to its original shape. Satisfied (extremely) with the quality, I set off to the hardware store to make my flag pole. I went a bit overkill but like the saying goes, if its worth doing, its worth overdoing: ● 2-inch PVC pipe cut to 6ft - Home Depot #193852 ● 2-inch PVC socket cap - Home Depot #232777 ● 2x 3/8-in x 5-in Eye Bolt - Lowes #1290770 ● 2x 3/8-in Flat Washer - Lowes #114193 ● 2x Carabiner (Interlocking Spring Snap) - Lowes #1290730 This can be used as a template if you don't know where to start. For example, if you have a tall vehicle, you could get away with just 4ft of PVC for a standard 3ftx5ft flag. ABS pipe would save you the hassle of spray painting the white PVC. You could also size down to 1/4-in hardware, and opt for stainless steel. This is just what I could find the quickest, and under $20. All you have to do now is drill two holes, spaced out depending on the size of your flag. I didn't want much slack for the flag so what I did is fully install the top mount, hardware, carabiner and flag, then extend the flag down to where the bottom hole needed to be with the least amount of slack. Also I made sure the flag did NOT touch the ground when stationary. I tested it on my lowest vehicle (Miata) to make sure of this. Overall I'm very happy with my setup. I did a short drive up to 70mph and other than the pole flexing a bit, the mount held up great. I will update this review after a few trips to the beach.

Over all a great product!
Hitch pole is being used to hold a camera for mapping roadways \ trails etc. Overall works well but can be a little loose in the hitch I assume this is to compensate for slight variations in hitch manufacturing. thumb screw needs an occasional re-tighten but overall a good product and a good price Pro: Good quality (feels heavy duty) Drain hole to prevent rust and water build up is great Thumb screw is well placed and is heavy (thick) enough to provide a good crank down with out feeling like it will snap off. Con: wiggles a bit in the hitch (a bit more than a standard hitch receiver)

Solidy made
Bought this for Ham radio antenna masts. I have a Spiderbeam 12m mast which has a 55mm OD. This holder has a 61mm ID so it fits fine. I am 3D printing a thin sleeve for the Spiderbeam, and also one for my SotaBeams Tactical Mini just so both are as snug as possible. Very impressed so far with the quality of construction. Of note, it does not come with a hitch pin, which was not a problem for me as I have a number of them, but if you don't, be sure to order one as well.

Not as heavy duty as I expected
Everything I have ever purchased that was designed to go into a 2" receiver is usually made with heavy wall square tubing. I expected that to be the case here, and for that I am disappointed. It is as many have stated, lightweight. For the record I measured it. It is made of .065 thick steel. The length of the flag pole tube is 19.5". The 2" square hitch section will stick out from the pin hole by approx 18" and has a 4.50" welded gusset. The bottom of the tube hangs down approx 3" and has a welded cap with a hole in it for drainage. I was hoping to put a pole in this to use as an extended bed support for long lumber for my truck, but I know it won't be strong enough. If I had this info before I purchased, I would have made another selection. So I'll just have to purchase a pole and use it for a pirate flag.... Aaargh!!!!

This is not a flag holder to drive with, now that's out of the way...
This is a very sturdy mount that actually fits a 30ft telescopic flag pole. Most other hitch mounts the flagpole diameter is too small, this unit accommodates up to 2-7/16" I don't fly flags on the vehicle unless I have to put a mast up. I'm an amateur radio operator. I need a portable mast that can be setup anywhere I can access with a vehicle for special event stations or public service emergency or routine. This fits the application perfectly. Its a little loose in my hitch, but because of that I can shim it somewhat if the vehicle is not entirely level. Had it since 2018 and survived many outings. Its rusting a bit where it rubs but a little steel wool scrubbing and a clear coat acrylic takes care of it.

Fits the two inch receiver on our travel trailer perfectly and provides plenty of support for our flag or windsock pole. Well made and nicely finished.

Really like it. Met and exceeded expectations. I took the advice of other customers and used 2" PVC pipe 6' long, 2" pvc cap, 2 I-bolts, 2 small carabiners, lock tight and now I have a sick flag pole to fly my flag while rolling down the highway. I have been approached by multiple truck owners asking "how and where do I get one"?

Nice. Seems very sturdy. One thing to note. The width of the mounting hole (Can I say that?) is 2.5 inches wide. So you can’t just stick any old pole in that wide of a hole. (I’m going to hell aren’t I?)

Excellent quality, received as advertised, shipped quickly. I am using it on the back of my 5th wheel trailer to hold up an aluminum pole which supports my two solar panels, perfect, panels rotate towards sun with ease.

The hitch floats around WAY to much in my 2" hitch receiver. It's makes you a bit nervous when driving at higher speeds. I'm super surprised not to see more complaints regarding this?? If anyone has a fix for that I'd appreciate the help please! Other than that it's great. I fitted a PVC pipe as my pole which is snug. The screw to keep it from falling out seems to hold it tight.
