Q: Are these safe for food prep?

I bought them for work and chores but I think they can be used for food prep

Q: How far down the wrist do these go? As in how many inches dose the cuff extend beyond the palm?

I have used about 45 pairs in a year, not counting getting several re-use from each pair. They only go 1/2 inch past my large wrist bone.
