Review of the ROG G752V (3 Days after buying)Configuration: NVidia 980M, 32gb RAM, 512gb SSD (Samsung 950 PRO M.2), 2nd Disk: 1TB HDDBad (Cost 1 star and nothing to do with the seller):Minor thing was the US Keyboard and trying to configure this with a UK everything else (Windows 10 issue). There are a few issues with PC booting and getting stuck with a black screen (Hold power to shut down and boot again fixed this). But I’m assuming this is will improve now I’ve updated everything to the latest versions (Windows update and GeForce Experience did the NVidia drivers). Also every now and again, games will fail to show any graphics which require the hold power down until it switches off fixed this also. But that I would put down to new games and will improve after patches. If something is downloading at high speed via wifi, other apps requiring networking seem to hang and not respond, even browsers got stuck trying to load a page. Possibly a wifi driver issue. Need to try Ethernet.Good:WOW, what a machine. To say it’s fast is an understatement. So far all the games I’ve tried on it (Turned up to ultra) Look amazing. Even The Division which has only just come out. Lots of older games (SWTOR, Mass Effect series) look way better than I’ve ever seen them before. I also use the video side of Adobe’s Creative Cloud and they work really fast also. HIDevolution UK did a great job with the upgrades, I would use them again.If it come across any other issues then I'll update the review at a later date.

(Later Edit)The seller contacted me as soon as i reviewed the laptop in order to solve my problems. I got a refund on the bad cable stuff and also confirmation that the product is brand new and was never touched. The seal was opened only to ensure a smooth operating cable (the notebook came with a US cord or something, and the seller added a UK cord also, in order to make sure i have no issues with the cable). SO, exceptional service and second time they show professionalism. WILL def buy from them again.The laptop works exceptionally on very high resolution and texture mode. All my games run EPIC on this device..........The notebook looks and performs awesome. I haven't had a chance to test its limits in AAA games but i will do it tonight. I doubt it will have any issues considering the money i spent on it and its config.The only problem is that the power cable is the wrong format. The extension that comes from the power adapter of the laptop towards the wall socket is a three pin round cable. The power adapter though, requires a straight line three pin connector. If i didn't have one ps3 cable at home, i wouldn't have had the possibility to use my brand new laptop. Which for 1700 GBP spent is REALLY s***ty. You pay that much money and you get a laptop that you cannot use because it has the wrong cable in the box. I hope this is not a scheme the seller did because the package also came opened, not sealed. The seal was broken and the laptop was in it;s protective cover. Kinda fishy though since you'd expect every brand new thing that you buy will be sealed. Anyhow, i chose not to return it instantly instantly because that would be the second High specs laptop i would have returned to the same seller. And also i was supposed to spend money on the return package and wait 2-3-4 weeks to get my money back. I took my chances and tested it and everything seems to be OK. i will however advise any other potential buyer to think twice before buying this laptop - or maybe contact the seller before buying and finding out you don't have the proper cable for it or is not sealed. Anyhow, let's see how it goes

I've had it for 2 months now and there's nothing I can complain about. Will update this if this changes. [2 Year update:] Using it as I'm typing this review. Very pleased with it. I've managed to break a couple of buttons while playing FIFA and had to order some spares for a around 50-ish pounds, but that's the only problem I've had with it. Very very pleased with it. Been doing software development with SDK, VM, lots of browser tabs open and playing FIFA while smashing the buttons because my reptilian brain thinks it will make the footballers run faster. 10/10 would buy again. [4 and a half year upadte:] Still working well; broke another 2 buttons since last review, so I suppose there is a pattern here with the keys not being the most resilient if you overuse them; Then again, a broken button every year isn't the worst problem in the world. Happy with everything else about it, been using it consistently fo both gaming and software development. I'd expect I'll still be using it a couple of years from now too.

The laptop is a beast and i love it. No issues whatsoever. Runs smoothly on all games I've tried, with max settings, while keeping at the coolest temperatures I've ever seen a laptop run on. It comes with a few nifty pieces of software such as GameFirst and the ROG Hub, which are nice little additions. Regardless of some reviews out there, the laptop does scream quality and I'm really impressed with the design. Laptop 10/10I was very impressed by the speed of which the item was proceed and dispatched. The laptop arrived quicker than I thought it would, which is a nice little bonus! Box was opened to replace the adapter and make specified modifications to the laptop. I was completely cool with that as I had read the review that a previous buyer had left, suggesting to do so. The fact that HIDevolution had listened to customer feedback and seems to help all issues buyers have had, is a big win for me. Will definitely use them in future and recommend them to anyone.
