Cozy EarthFull Mattress Pad

The material is lighter and thinner compare to those thick memory foam pads. However, it feels very silky and I like how it wraps around the mattress like a fitted sheet. It does feel cooler compare to those foam pads. It does look thicker in the picture compare to the actual item. Would only recommend if you are looking for something thin and light during summer time.

Ok, first thing first - I definitely had a bit of sticker shock when I saw the price of this mattress pad. But I’ve read good things about the company so I decided to give it a try, and so far I am quite happy.It comes in a really nice canvas bag. The first thing I noticed when opening it was the weight of this mattress pad. This isn’t some cheap lightweight mattress pad cover. This thing is heavy! I was actually surprised by how much it weighs.My 2nd picture shows the thickness of this mattress pad. I would say the pad is maybe 1/2” thick or slightly less. But it definitely has some padding to it. This isn’t a mattress topper though. This is a cooling mattress pad cover. If you are looking for a mattress topper to really soften up a firm mattress, this isn’t it. I would not say that it really made my firm mattress softer. Maybe just slightly.As you can also see from my 3rd picture, this thing is Deep! It should easily fit even the thickest of mattresses without any issue. If you have an overly thick mattress this should still fit, no problem.This mattress pad also seems made from premium materials. I didn’t see any flaws or manufacturing defects and the quality seems very high. It is so very silky soft to the touch and feels amazing against your skin. It’s probably the most premium material I’ve personally slept on.Now for the cooling effect - I tend to be a hot sleeper, and I’m sleeping on an all foam (latex) mattress which can run hotter than mattresses with springs so I was really hoping this would help keep me cool and so far it truly has. It actually does feel really cool to the touch. I was a bit surprised by how cool it felt. I was sort of expecting the coolness to fade as I laid on it but it really seemed to stay cool even after laying on it for a while. I am usually sleeping within an hour or two but the cool feel has seemed to last at least that long. I’ve only been sleeping on it for a few nights so far but I have yet to wake up hot or sweating, which was a common occurrence before. It’s MUCH better than my previous cooling mattress pad. I will update this review if anything changes but after a few warm nights it does seem to offering a nice cooling effect. And I would say that my mattress is a true test of its cooling properties (see paragraph below).I recently made my own DIY latex mattress out of multiple different 3” pieces of latex and haven’t bought a mattress cover for it yet. Before I got this mattress pad I was just using a cheap mattress pad to cover the latex layers and then normal bed sheets on top. This mattress pad has now replaced my previous mattress pad as well as the bed sheets. So this is directly on top of the latex layers. No wool or anything else that would help dissipate heat between the latex foam and this pad. It is literally just a few layers of 3” latex with this mattress pad on top. As you may or may not know, mattresses made from all foam tend to sleep hotter than mattresses with springs, especially when there’s not wool or some other heat dissipation material on top. Latex sleeps cooler than memory foam (because you don’t sink into it. It doesn’t hug you like memory foam) but it can still get kind of warm at night. That hasn’t been an issue since getting this mattress pad and it kind of was before. So I have to say, I am impressed!To summarize - if you are looking for a premium, high quality cooling mattress pad that is silky soft, this is an excellent product and worth the price. I would highly recommend buying it. If you are looking for a mattress topper to soften your mattress, this probably isn’t for you.

I want to start off by saying that I think $150 for just a mattress pad is non-justifiable in my opinion, but I will not knock this product for the price, it’s up to you to decide whether or not you’d spend that much. This is definitely the softest and most comfortable mattress pad I’ve ever seen or laid on. Like others have said, you’ll put the pad on, lay on it, and want to just sleep directly on it because it’s so soft. But eventually reality will set in and you will put your sheets and comforter/duvet back in the bed, and now you can no longer feel how soft the mattress pad is. The pad is very cushiony though, and is a little thicker than my old pad, so I can tell a bit of a difference in how it makes my crappy apartment mattress feel more comfortable. The mattress pad is incredible on its own, but once it’s been buried underneath my sheets I forget about it and it kind of loses its luster. In my opinion it’s nice, but it’s just not worth the price, but perhaps I’m only saying this because this pad is the nicest part of my bed. Maybe it’s like the Princess and the Pea, your bed is only as comfortable as the weakest link, so if you have nice sheets, a nice mattress, and a nice comforter, then maybe you ought to have a nice mattress pad too or else you will feel that pea underneath.Also this pad comes in a really nice (also feminine) bag that could definitely be used for things other than carrying a mattress pad around. When I first opened the box, I thought they sent me the wrong item because I did not order a bag, but the mattress pad was just inside it.

I wouldn’t call this a pad but more of a thin cover. Like almost all other Cozy Earth products, the material is soft and comfortable, very well made and a good option for an investment item for your bedroom. Unfortunately, I can’t use it because even though I ordered a full sized a queen sized one arrived. This is probably the second time its happened and a bit frustrating because I want to use the product but can’t if it never fits. If it did fit, it doesn't add much height to your bed which is important if you've already got a mattress that requires deep pocket sheets.

I get that it's expensive, and I did get this for free (+/- taxes), so please take that into mind.This week of sleep was amazing. I sleep on a medium firm memory foam/gel mattress, but sometimes my feet are clammy when I first get in bed and then if I don't fall asleep in 30 minutes I feel like I've overheated. I also felt like the mattress's top layer was a little bit on the softer side of what I prefer usually.This mattress pad fixed both of those issues. I feel like it controlled both ends of the temperature extremes, so that I wouldn't get too cold or too hot. The bamboo fabric is very soft, like their duvet covers, and is naturally cool to the touch. I was never sweaty with this. Also, the layer seemed to add some resistance because the mattress was too soft prior. It's barely noticeable though so I don't recommend you buy it to try to fix a mattress that's too soft. It never works--you kind of can make a mattress softer with a topper, but it's very hard to make a soft one firm.It works to keep you cool if you sleep in PJs, old t-shirts, underwear, or your birthday suit.It reminds me of the mattress pads that my grandma and mom would hand-make when times were tougher. They were stitched very well and the sleep on them was always good, and more importantly, emotionally comforting. There was just something about them that made slipping into bed an enjoyable experience and I loathe to get out in the morning.
