Great value, auto focus a bit slow
I've very happy with the image quality from this lens. The F1.8 Aperture shows great depth of field.The only disappointment is the speed of the auto focus, it's quite slow, fine for most portraits and landscapes but it struggles to keep up with any action shots.Overall great value.

Can't go wrong for the price
If you're a beginner or just a casual photographer, this is a worthy investment. Picture quality isn't as good as a more expensive, high-end lens, but for the price, it's more than adequate.

Buy canons 50mm spend the extra
you get what you pay for, this lens feels cheap, it creaks and is super loud when "focusing" and then just doesn't focus on anything, this item has been returned, as i said in the title save your time and money spend the extra £40 to buy the cannon lens instead this lens isn't fit for purpose

Good picture but.....
Low budget lens I was expect to be good, when it arrived and trying on my Canon 40D, the autofocus was not working for some reason sound of motor is struggle to move and no autofocus on any object, try on manual the picture were great but why am I pay for autofocus that are not working? return it the seller is from China!
