Worked for me
I refinished the lower unit of an outboard motor by sanding to bare metal, applying an acid etching primer, then Samurai primer, and finally finish coats of Evinrude brand outboard motor paint. I was sure to shake the Samurai cans double the time they recommend both before and after mixing to hardener in to prevent problems. The paint generally went on well. There were some snotballs in the spray; not sure what causes them. After curing, these easily sanded away with 400 grit, leaving a smooth finish for the top coat. This primer is much glossier than other epoxy primers I have used. I appreciate that they include two spray tips, round and fan. The fan is perhaps a bit too wide. I was surprised that a can I mixed was still good to use the next day. While I was able to get an SDS, the company does not appear to have a TDS (Technical Data Sheet) available for it, so I still don't know if this is a DTM (direct to metal) primer or not. Overall, I am pleased with the product. We'll see how the lower unit paint job holds up.

Great product, great customer service
The product covers great and I use it for touch ups on automotive restoration products. The nozzle drips a lot but it’s a primer. I recommend it as it does the job well

Good paint. Hilarious label
If I were to judge this printer based on the label I’d probably move on. Literally there is a Samarui standing in a yacht with the waiting 2k is better than 1k. But it stays even and lasts. I would but again

Very Pleased
Nice primer. Very happy with the results. Sands well. 8hr pot life is pretty good for a 2 part paint.

Easy enough to use, a bit thick but coated & stuck to bare metal well
This being a epoxy paint, you NEED to have GOOD ventilation ( I used it outside) and also should wear a mask to avoid all fumes and mist. Was easy enough to activate can, and you must also keep in mind that once mixed, it has about an 8 hour stated "pot life" before it sets up within the can and becomes unuseable. It is a bit thick spraying on, but clung well to bare metal with minimal to no fish eyes.

take you time and read the instructions. Very pleased.
I used both the primer and paint in white to cover some glass repair. It's very thin so really have to watch to not put on heavy. The customer service when I called for help, was really great. A++

Buy Spraymax or Eastwood. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP!
I have used two other companies 2K (can within a can) products and both are far superior. That's being kind, The plunger and spray nozzle mechanism on this package is absolute garbage. And the directions tell you to hit it firmly with your fist. HUGE mistake. I did as the direction stated and when I hit the bottom of the can with my fist The nozzle broke off and the epoxy primer started spraying out all over the place with no way to stop it from spraying. Made a total mess of my garage and ruined several items. Not to mention leaving an ungodly sticky mess all over the floor. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE PRODUCT!!!If you want a quality 2K primer in a spray can buy Spraymax or Eastwood. Costs a bit more but well worth it! This stuff is crap!!! With a capital C

So don't buy this product, Coverage is abysmal.
So don't buy this product, without buying 5 time what you think you need.Coverage is abysmal, for one can I got about 2 and a half square feet of coverage.Second, do not think one or two top coats of your finished color will cover this primer, I am at 6 coats of white and i still haven't covered the primer.Third, plan on sanding, as this will run if used on a vertical surface. My first coat at about 25% coverage ran, bad. I know how to spray this product is just too inconsistent in the mixing process. After heavily shaking for about 7 minutes, the instructions say 5 but hey changing hands adds a little time so I allow for that, this product still came out in varying viscosities thru the whole can. Finally, I will add that I doubt this product will last, as during sanding the runs down, the primer flaked in certain areas. To help everyone out, my surface was fiberglass, I did a scuff sanding at 120 grit and a 320 wet sanding. I tack clothed the surface, used degreaser with a final wipe down of denatured alcohol. Surface temp of the fiberglass was 68 degrees and air temp was 71.I am also reviewing the white paint.
