Such a nice natural colour for me, allows natural high and low lights so it doesn't look flat/wig-like. I have naturally dark golden brown hair, and had some sombre/bleach highlights throughout. This dye covered well and evenly even though I didn't think I'd managed it during mid-application panic.It IS ash brown, it took away the brassy colour of my old highlights whilst turning them a lighter brown shade but the natural golden tones in my hair are still picked up in direct sunlight - maybe it'll take another application of this to really cover that. Indoors the colour is as stated on the box. I often find dyes come out almost black on me, but this stayed true to the box. Phew! P.s the conditioner smells and feels amazing, I'm on the hunt for a seperate full sized version!
