It huffed and it puffed and it blew my socks off
Neat, light, quiet. I haven't tested the output but hope it's what it says. Started first time but the second time I flooded it arghh. I wanted to find out the oil volume, rang the help line and it was closed an hour before it said on Friday... Grrrrr. There should be a sticker in it saying "no oil, please replenish before use" as its s monkey to get to the dip stick. Overall the Wolf is a good machine. Time will tell if its a sheep in Wolf's clothing.

Excellent
Used it camping after the first lock down, extremely quiet, always started first time, no smoke! Even in the middle of nowhere it was hardly audible! Even from the tent. Didn't use it for another year but once again it started perfectly. So I have two now. Getting ready for the power cuts this winter, I've enough between the two to keep our boiler working and a TV on. Prior preparation prevents poor performance!

Reliable, well controlled power, bit noisy.
Wolf Power Genie 1200.I use it almost exclusively to power a 1000w water pump. I've had it for at least two years and run it for two to three hours every other week in the summer plus part spring and autumn. Works faultlessly.Too noisy for most camp sites. Easy to use and relatively light weight. Economical.Just be careful that the exhaust is pointed in the correct direction!

Good but noisy. Get a battery and inverter and use this to charge up and then you will be laughing when there is a power cut
We live in highlands and get cut off approximately about 3 days a year which usually means total darkness, not handy with small kids. This WOLF unit is not a quiet machine. I would say its good for items up to 800W as it trips off with a 1KW heater. I think we are going to use it to recharge the leisure battery (£100) / inverter (£40) which is better for keeping the lights on overnight and the TV running on when we end up with no power due to storms outtages. Battery only good for 2 days, generator will increase that for as long as its needed.

Compact and well designed
I bought this generator for my mothing hobby. I run several moth traps and I needed something relatively quiet and light weight. This fits the bill perfectly. I have only used it twice so far but I hope to use it regularly over the summer and autumn. All the controls (choke, on/off switch, economy, petrol tap and primer) are easy to find and well labelled. Just a case of remembering to switch everything on (except the econ switch) at the beginning. My only beef is it would help if the manual said how much oil to put in at the beginning. I filled to what I though was the correct level and ended up with lots of smoke. The second run worked well. This was originally being advertised for £269 but when I saw the price come down to £207 I bought it. I have not been disappointed.

Good wee genreator light and easy to start
I went for the 1200 unit in 2015 as I need the extra capacity to run the house as a back up for the odd power cut and to run a small microwave on the camper. Unit comes with no oil, which makes sense as it would be messy shipping. I guess folks beef with this is that the correct amount of oil could be supplied in a plastic bottle, making it simpler for folk to just fill it and get started. I just filled it to the top of the oil fill hole as per instructions.Regarding running it in, I just let run on no load for 5mins then ran it on 1kw heater for 30mins.. The heater must have been over 1kw as the overload light was on but it kept running, will now just use it and change the oil after 20hrs use or in a few months, after that just change it yearly.it started easy enough, is reasonable quite, light and my first impressions are goodBeen using this on an off for small power cuts and camper vanBut came trump over the past week as it ran my house heating (oil), Sky box and TV, freezers and two laptops, router and monitors for 5 days, averages 6hrs per 3l fill.

Do not buy it - very noisy and lacking in power. Broken down after two uses.
Very disappointed with purchase. Is extremely noisy. No way it could be used when near other people.Does not run an 800w microwave. Will run 500w heating in my campervan but cuts out at 1000w.Used it twice for about 30 minutes each time and now no longer works. Cheap rubbish in a fancy case.Phone the helpline and they were no use at all.
