Cashmere Mafia - Complete Series [DVD] [2008 ] Cashmere Mafia is addictive, fun, sexy and oh so watchable. I'm not sure what peoples' obsession is with comparing it to SATC (another show I love) other than the fact they are a bunch of high-flying friends. But let me tell you, this is a show of its own. I had to watch the entire series in one setting and am gutted there are no other series!!!To anyone looking for some intelligent TV that is sassy and keeps you wanting more - this is the box set for you. And if you are an SATC, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Gossip Girl, etc, etc, etc fan, i'm pretty certain you will love it!

I bought this dvd cos it was recommended after i bought sex and the city and also cos it was only a []. It was a brilliant first series,however no matter how hard it tried it will never be as good as sex and the city, tho nothing could really live up to that. It was very lively and fast paced so it gets into the story lines quickly overall very good dvd!!! Definatly worth a []!!!! The only down side is there is only one so once you have watched it you will want another series. Anyone who loved sex and the city will like this.

I bought Cashmere Mafia to find out if it really was as bad as it was accused of. And it was almost!The actors are not the best and the story is at times incoherent. I also think that the serie is a little boring and it reminds a little too much of a bad version of Sex And The City, but I choose to give it three stars because it is cheap and came very quickly. I ordered on July 20 and went off for 5 days and when I came home it was in my mailbox. I live in Denmark, so I was very surprised at the fast delivery. The serie is nice if you are sitting Sunday night with a hangover, but otherwise it is not worth seeing. (I hope you understood my bad English!)

I don't think that this is comparable to Sex and the City, not because I'n a fanatic but because they're two completely different types of show. It's more akin to Lipstick Jungle but not nearly as good. The characters just never really seemed to develop and there were no memorable plots.

I really enjoyed these seven episodes of "Cashmere Mafia". The cast work well together although the storylines are very simplistic and predictable. Mia, Caitlin, Zoe and Juliet are all high-flying executives and there are the usual work/family conflicts along the way. It isn't a show that you become really engrossed in but it does make for pleasant, relaxing viewing. The women always look super-glamorous, especially Lucy Lui who seems to have had the best pick of the wardrobe department. Perfect TV to switch off to. I am surprised Season Two wasn't commissioned, I think this show had a lot of potential.

I love this show. Can't believe it got cancelled. At the risk of being attacked in the street, I've gotta say it's better than Sex in the City and I like Sex in the city. It's just a bit more grown up, I think. I might have to watch Lipstick Jungle to continue getting my fix for seeing powerful women taking on the world of work and family. We all strive for it, don't we??! The Cashmere Mafia are ballsy, exciting, beautiful and sexy. Definitely worth a watch. Go on!!!!

I'm pleased

Cashmere Mafia is a must for Sex and The City, Gossip Girl and Lipstick Jungle fans. I bought the DVD a few days ago and watched it straight away and ALL OF IT in one go. A great watch but plan ahead and watch it when you have a few hours spare, as once you've seen one, you want to watch them all!. Very light hearted with a bit of everything. Tears of joy and sadness, laughter and fuzzy feelings. (Also makes you want to look at your own wardrobe!)

Da ich sowieso ein riesiger Serienfan bin, ist mir natürlich auch diese Serie nicht entgangen.Ich finde es soweiso blöd- diese Serie dann gleich mit SATC zu vergleichen, nur weil es auch 4 Frauen sind oder mit Lipstick Jungle nur weil es ähnlich ist. Ich habe alle drei gesehen und finde auch alle drei gut und deshalb kann ich aus Erfahrunf sagen, dass man diese Serien nicht miteinander vergleichen kann. So finde ich das zumindest :)Ich war auf jeden Fall sofort begeistert von dieser Serie- das Englisch ist super leicht zu verstehen und die Schauspielerinnen haben mich echt überzeugt- vor allem die wunderschöne Bonnie Sommerville, die mir schon in OC damals auffiel. Es ist eine Schande, dass es nur 7 Folgen gab und das Ende ist wirklich dürftig, vor allem, da es eigentlich kein Ende gibt.. Und es gibt auch Storys (wie Adam&Mia oder Sam&Caitlin) von denen ich echt gerne noch mehr gesehen hätte.. Aber naja, falls man was neues sucht, empfehle ich diese Serie auf jeden fall, auch wenn sie nur 7 Folgen enthält, eine schöne kleine Serie ist es auf jeden Fall!

Und noch eine Serie, die nach nur 7 Folgen ihr schnelles Ende fand.Der Vergleich zu Serien wie "Sex and the City" und "Lipstick Jungle" drängt sich natürlich auf. Der Zuschauer bekommt nichts geboten, was er nicht schon vorher gesehen hat. Dennoch oder vielleicht gerade deshalb sollte "Cashmere Mafia" sein Publikum finden. Ich konnte mich jedenfalls sehr schnell mit den Charakteren anfreunden und hatte bei jeder Folge meinen Spass. Warum nach 7 Folgen endgültig Schluss war und ABC die Serie aus dem Programm schmiss hat, war nicht unbedingt nachvollziehbar - klar die Quoten, aber mit 7 Folgen hatte man auch kaum Zeit sich zu entwickeln. Kaum freundete man sich mit den Charakteren an, da war es auch schon wieder zu Ende.Nichts destotrotz lohnen sich die wenigen Folgen anzuschauen. Lucy Liu ist immer sehr nett anzusehen und auch der restliche Cast hat seine Momente. Für Fans des Genres also eine gelungene Serie!Zu erwähnen sein, dass diese Serie keine deutsche Tonspur enthält.
