LINE 6 HX STOMP 990602405 Compact Professional Guitar Processor Pedal (Black)HX Stomp™ is a professional-grade multi-effects processor that delivers the sound of Helix® amps, cabs, and effects in an ultra-compact pedal. Use it as a “super stompbox,” a backup or travel rig, an add-on tone expander when combined with other modelers, an audio interface – or even a complete guitar or bass rig. The same HX Modeling technology that powers the flagship Helix guitar processor enables HX Stomp to run up to six processing blocks simultaneously, making it the most powerful and flexible stompbox-sized multi-effects processor available. HX Stomp is easy to operate, however, thanks to its simple-but-powerful controls, 320 x 240-pixel color LCD, and capacitive-sensing footswitches with color-coded LED rings. External control via MIDI and optional expression pedal and footswitch control provide additional flexibility, as does I/O that may be configured for sophisticated routing such as simultaneously feeding an amp and a FOH mixer, 4-cable method operation with an amplifier, and studio re-amping. Along with over 300 amps, cabs, and effects – even a looper – HX Stomp includes a legacy library of effects from Line 6® M-Series pedals, as well as from classic Line 6 stompbox modelers such as the DL4™, MM4™, FM4™, and DM4™. There are also presets created specifically for bass players, as well as individual bass amp and cab models. The free HX Edit app offers preset librarian functionality and third-party IR loading.Product FeaturesUtilizes the same HX Modeling as HelixOver 300 effects and models from Helix, M-Series, and legacy Line 6 productsUp to 6 simultaneous amp, cab, and effect blocks (including a looper and IR loading)3 capacitive-sensing footswitches with color-coded LED rings facilitate fast editingTRS dual expression pedal/footswitch input extends creative control capabilitiesStereo effects loop (mono/stereo TRS send + stereo returns) facilitates use with other pedals Review: Pedalera practica, compacta y con un sonido inigualable!!! - Es un gran pedal compacto, pero con un potencia increíble la verdad no le pide nada a ningún otra pedalera y con su tamaño es super práctica y funcional, me encanta, es indispensable en mi gear!!! Review: The end of guitar amps for me. - Once you learn how to use this thing, the sky is the limit. I recommend downloading some presets and ir's. You'll want a good starting point and the stock presets aren't the greatest in my opinion. Definitely experiment with some third party IR's but don't overlook the included cabs and microphones. Many many tones can be made from those alone. Then you have all the amp sims plus the amp/cab combos.... I've found the built in cabs are actually really good. Mostly because of all the different mics you can choose from for each cab. Literally any guitar tone you can think of, you can sculpt it on this thing. The effects, reverbs and delays are plentiful and great sounding. The wahs, whammy and pitch shifters are a lot of fun too if you get an optional expression pedal. (I recommend the M-audio expression pedal. It works good and its cheap) I can't say how it sounds plugged into an amp as a "multi effects" unit because I use amp modeling and run direct into either, a powered studio monitor, headphones, or a 12" Headrush frfr speaker. I would assume the hx stomp would make a great multi effect unit for an amp setup based on the functionality and quality of the effects. It's built like a tank and has mind blowing power for something so small. It's worth it's price absolutely. Support is top notch. No cons. Only positives. *if you're looking for a desktop stand for the hx stomp, a small bookstand works great. You can see how I use it in my pictures.

Great stompbox modeler
I've only just received this and I'm still just figuring it out. I bought it to be my "bass rig" for the band I play bass in, but I can see this playing a role in my other bands where I play guitar.

Convincing tone from a small package.
Was debating between this and the LT for home / desk use as an upgrade from a 20 year old Pod XT with a failed LCD. Ended up with this because the LT was just too large and I didn't feel like I would need the extra DSP. The amount of tonal possibilities available within this unit is incredible, there's enough to please anyone. The interface is a bit hard to navigate and confusing at first, especially doing things like splitting paths, setting different values to snapshots and setting expression pedal settings, but you get used to it and it becomes second nature, the HX Edit program also helps a lot. One of the great features is the ability to use impulse responses where you can get realistic sounding cab / mic combinations, companies like Ownhammer, York audio and others have good affordable IRs for relatively cheap. Line 6 has been updating the Helix series for years, adding new effects, models, options etc. This further adds value to the device, and I see myself using this for a long time just like I did with the Pod XT. EDIT: If you're using this on a desk at home like I am, this tablet holder works perfectly with the Stomp, it's all metal too: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08LDNFFSX An update after a few months of using it: I'm still incredibly impressed by this unit even more so now then when I got the unit. After watching videos on youtube, I'm now very comfortable using the unit without HX Edit. If you're confused on how to use this unit, John Nathan Cordy on youtube recently made a video called "So you bought an HX Stomp - The Basics", I highly recommend watching that video, it goes through the most important features.

Powerful and small
Fantastic processor with a small footprint. Paired it with a Tonex and it’s great
