The Smooth interior does not promote the formation of lather as bowls with dimples or bumps inside.

I have nothing bad to say about this product. It looks great, has a nice weight to it, and cleans easily. I have no problems whatsoever. Now, I will say to all you travelers out there that if you bring this on a trip, take great care in packaging it. It's stone and therefore subject to chipping and cracking if under pressure or packed loosely with other hard items. Be smart and treat it right and it will last a lifetime. I will absolutely be buying more from this company. They never fail to impress. What's more, they take great care in packaging all their products. You need not worry if you'll have to go through the return/refund process after you buy it and wait on its arrival.

I. like the product, however, I would like it more if it were a about a 1/2" shorter, my shaving brush easily contacts the upper lip of the bowl when working up a lather.

I keep two of these on my bathroom sink. One is my lathering bowl, and the other is where I store my safey razor. Their heavy weight makes them almost impossible to tip over, and the marble will hold heat after it's filled with hot water and allowed to sit for a couple of minutes, then emptied. They're practical, attractive, and the price is right for something that looks way more expensive than what I paid for them.
