Spike Heels

My daughter loved this play.

As much as I loved "Bad Dates" by Rebeck, I was completely underwhelmed by "Spike Heels". I found the scenes cliched and the characters uninteresting. I purchased it because a director had asked me to come audition for a local production of the play. After reading it however, I am not even interested in being an audience member for this one. It was not my taste. I can certainly see why some other women would love it, but again, it was not my taste. I don't like to be in plays or see plays that are remotely "I am woman hear me roar". I like plays that simply roar on their own. The female roles were just so cliche to me: the young sexy temptress who is scantily clad for many page, and the sensible one in "reliable shoes". It was not a poorly written play by any means; it just did not hold my interest.

I was familiar with the play and was looking fir my own copy. The product was in excellent shape.
