Excellent ramp
After spinal surgery I can't now lift much For some odd reason it had not occurred to me that I would not be able to lift my new goldie puppy into the car and would need a ramp. After quickly researching ramps on Amazon I picked this one as although it was more expensive than some it looked strong and well made which in fact it is. This ramp is light weight and easy to use because of the 3 sections that pull out. I taught my puppy to walk on it flat on the ground then on a very slight incline up a step into the house. I then used it on the back of my estate car. I leave it in the back of the car and just pull it down and into position with one hand. Once my puppy is in the car I lift the bottom of the ramp up and push the sections together again mostly using the car bumper itself to push against. Once the 3 sections are together again I can easily push it all back into the car. I am so glad I bought this as I could not have managed without it. As my puppy grows she my one day just jump into the back of the car but hopefully she will live to old age when once again she may need it.

German engineering - what’s not to like.....
My Working Cocker Spaniel ruptured a cervical disc in December and needed surgery to repair him. It then transpired he has degenerative disc disease and will need to be carefully managed in future with regard to stairs, furniture and jumping in and out of the car - all of the above could cause jarring and consequently damage other drying-out discs in his neck. I did some considerable research on the net for car ramps as he will certainly need to use one from now on for the rest of his life (he’s eight) and I wanted a piece of kit which I wouldn’t have to buy again in a couple of years. Happened upon this ramp which had five star reviews from everyone who’d bought it so far. I’m so very glad I bought it and am also giving it five stars without reservation. My dog (with the help of half a packet of bacon) has used it from first introduction and is now happily going up and down into the back of an SUV via the ramp with no problem at all.The ramp itself is beautifully and simply constructed. Its three parts telescope easily up and down, it’s the right length fully extended to be a gentle incline and the part that lies on the bumper lip is immovable and therefore will not slip sideways. The treads are solid and criss-cossed so no slipping and best of all it’s very light to carry and easy to store in the boot. It fits easily standing on its edge and propped against the inside of the boot with a bungee cord to secure it. It has a securing strap to stop it unfolding when you take it out of the car but I have dispensed with it as it’s just easy to telescope the ramp and put it in the car as is. Can’t fault it. More expensive than others but you definitely get what you pay for and if you want your dog to be safe and happy to use it without worrying about the ramp flexing or snapping then go for this one. Very few products are reviewed so positively and consistently and this deserves its five stars!

Beautifully engineered...
This ramp has much going for it, so why a cautious 4 stars?I bought this because my wife found our existing substantial bi-fold plastic dog ramp too heavy and cumbersome for convenience. This new telescopic ramp wins on compactness (when folded) and has a better non-slip surface (deeply ridged) but over the question of ease of handling, the issue is less clear cut. The telescopic ramp has that satisfying Germanic over-engineered feel to it that could never be engendered by a folding piece of plastic, however substantial. But that does not get translated into ease of handling: the sheer compactness of the ramp makes it feel heavier than it is, particularly as all the parts that you might pick it up tend to start their telescopic action on contact. All in all, a smart piece of kit but it is not perfect. Is it worth the money? Which is the better value for money, a Dacia or a Mercedes? Your answer to that question will probably decide.

Perfect for both dog and handling
Our German Shepherd is beginning to find it more difficult to jump down from our Discovery. After thorough research, I plumped for this ramp. Our top priorities were: strong enough to take her weight (yes, easily), long enough (yes, when the Discovery's suspension has been lowered [a little steep if it hasn't been lowered, but using the car's lowering option is a must for all dogs]), easy to minimize and extend (really easy), light and not bulky when minimized (yes, slim, and stows into its canvas bag). Our dog took to the ramp immediately (have to say that she does do agility so she is used to ramps, but I would think it is wide enough and grippy enough to encourage any dog). We have used the ramp plenty already, and it looks as though it is going to be hard-wearing. We are very pleased with this purchase.

Perfect
Very satisfied with this product. The dog has used it with ease from day one with no problems. It comes in a handy carry bag and fits neatly behind the front seat. No room in the boot due to the size of our dog crate! My wife and I find it lightweight and easy to assemble. It is sturdy, well made and looks good. Highly recommend.

Great product
Kept jamming my fingers in a three-part foldable plastic ramp so replaced it with this one which slides in/out instead. Great product, can handle it with one hand (and occasionally a foot), extending it a s well as pushing back together. Not light weight, but manageable, and definitely a lot lighter than the previous one. Highly recommended.

Very good buy
Bought this as our vizsla hurt her back and although she has recovered, we don’t want her to have to jump in and out of our Discovery 4 any more. It was a very good buy. It is lightweight and takes up very little room. If you don’t want it in the boot with the dog you can tuck it in behind one of the seats. The dog took to using it very quickly and confidently, but I would recommend always standing close to the dog and keep a hold of the collar as he/she is going up and down as a precaution, especially if the dog is excited.

Does the job very well
Excellent product. The surface is formed with deep grooves for good grip, which does the trick. Worth the wait and old dog now plods up it no problem.

Stabile Rampe, einfaches Handling!

Wenig Gewicht, leicht handzuhaben
